~my last build~ for an unarmed char was 8/1/9/1/10/1/10. it was kinda gimmicky and I didn't plan on using it for like 40 hours like I did, so you don't actually need 10 luck (8 and common sense will get you thrown out of a casino for playing blackjack within ten minutes)

Dead Money has a guitar just sitting around in one particular upstairs room. Does GRA *have* a guitar? I don't recall seeing one in the previews at BethBlog...

I just love this game. I just completed the Sic Semper Tyrannis challenge by shooting Kimbal in the back of the head on top of the helipad and then jumped off the ledge to make my escape and broke my leg upon landing. The only thing I was missing was a derringer and it would have been perfect.

Nah no need to waste a perk slot, it's a short walk to Novac then you can mail the tonnes of gold through the apparently very strong and trustworthy Mojave express.

I like having an updated OP, but I take issue with the statement that there's no useless perks. I mean can anyone really justify taking Retention? Or Entomologist now that we don't have to deal with FO3's albino radscorpions? And all of the radiation related perks, pretty much, since rad-away is generally plentiful and the ones that give benefit for radiation are never worth it. And the ones that allow you to redo broken locks/ computers. And the one that makes nightstalker squeezins give bonuses because honestly by level 20 you're not gonna see a nightstalker again unless you're exploring all the caves/ doing Lily's quest.

I get 10 END on every character I make just so I can get all those sweet implants. I used to always have 10 INT but now I usually just have 8 (with the implant). Between skill books and 50 levels it's easy to get all the skill points you need, especially if you just have one combat skill. I don't even get educated, but you could grab that if you really want more than one combat skill before level 30, I guess. My level 25 character right now pretty much has all of their relevant skill points maxed (besides barter and survival, which I'm working on)

Yeah, I gotta admit I'm a little disappointed in the Bozar. I just spent 45k caps on the thing (I don't know how expensive it is in vanilla - I have the hardest level of Bartertown running) and, well. I'll just stick with the All-American/anti-materiel rifle. It is a cool gun to have leaning against the wall in my Novac hotel home, though.

You can actually (DM spoilers)grab all the gold and just crawl out the door that Father Elijah dosen't use, if you have a stealth boy. He needs to not spot you for it to work, I think. The lengths you have to go to to get around the weight limit really drive home the message of Dead Money, i think.
