YOURFRIEND posted:Yeah hey. After you shut it down is the music is plays lost forever? I'm pretty sure it's meant to, but on my second playthrough I repaired Rhonda and the station stayed on the air for a while afterwards. I think it was just a bug, though. Another odd thing was that I did that quest, left for hours to do a bunch of other stuff including a DLC or two, and when I came back Tabitha and Rhonda were making their way down the mountain again, as if they'd never left.

I got a question about Lonesome Road. Does Ulysses always tries to launch the nuclear missile at the NCR? Or does he try to blow up the faction you are most famous in?. Because I only completed LR with an NCR character, and I wanted to see if he would kill his legionaries BFFs just to cause me harm

Does Ulysses even do anything at all? As far as I can tell the decision to launch the missiles and where they go is entirely up to you.

I've never run them in that order since, and it seems to contradict what rope kid said about being able to make DLCs 'see' each other. Were they just mistaken, or is there something like that? The first time I did LR it was on a Legion character, but I still had pretty high NCR rep (since they have most of the sidequests, and since you have to stay on their good side for awhile to complete stuff like blowing up the monorail) and as a result the ending consisted entirely of "NOW I KILL YOUR PRECIOUS BEAR NATION" and all I could say was "Okay guy, whatever?" If you go in with only high Legion rep, is the dialogue about that? And can you still talk him down or do you have to fight him?

Yes, he does have Legion specific dialog. For example, when he compares tunnelers to the packs of feral dogs in Denver, you can point out that Denver is Legion territory and he will mention having gone there before. You can still talk him down too but just not with the [Legion] option since he won't believe you're truly behind Caesar's cause since you came from the west. You can also try to convince him to return to the Legion but that won't work either, he says he's wandered too far to go back.

I just completed Honest Hearts and thought it was pretty cool, I had fun the whole way through and I really liked the zone, but it felt disappointingly short. A big step up from Dead Money, which I didn't at all like. I started OWB but I just can't get in to it, I know the Fallout universe is pretty goofy and out-there but OWB is a little too goofy and out-there for me and it just feels like the whole thing doesn't really belong in the Fallout universe or fit in with the rest of the game. Does this get better past the first hour or so or should I just load a save prior to entering and move on to Lonesome Road if I'm not enjoying it at this point?

I decided to go with House in this run-through, so I killed Benny with his own pistol. Left the Tops and Vulpes gave me the Mark, so I gave him a .308 round through the back of his skull. Killed the boatman in Cottonwood as I'd cleared it out earlier, slaughtered everyone in the Legion Camp, got my tenth kill for the GRA challenge 'Against All Tyrants' on the guy with the snappy goatee in Caesar's Tent, cripped the old man's head with throwing spears then gutted him like a fish with a combat knife. I bet House is gonna have some words for me. I'd hoped this would stop the assassination squads, but it doesn't look like it.

Old World Blues keeps the same goofy tone but it's turned down a bit after the intro sequence where you talk to everyone. I'd keep at it, if only to see if the toned goofiness is still too much for you.Geomancing posted:I'd hoped this would stop the assassination squads, but it doesn't look like it. You can also use a radio to talk to Tabitha and convince her to kill all of the dumb-dumbs, which causes the nightkin to turn on the normal mutants.

Yodzilla posted:Oh nice I was looking for mods that add quests now that I'm done with DLC. Can you recommend any others or is this the best to start with? New Vegas Bounties is a fun mod, but it really breaks the game as the encounters are fairly easy and you get a shitton of caps and a bunch of really cool weapons to use. NVB2 has a lot harder encounters, and slightly toned down rewards. I'd also recommend "The New Bison Steve" hotel mod. It adds a questline to renovate the bison steve that's really, really well done. Tales From the Burning Sands is also pretty good, but it's much more vague and open ended than the others. There's very few mods that actually add quality questlines to the games. e: My experience with New Vegas Bounties 2 was taking on "Prometheus" who is a super mutant behemoth, pretty much, where you have to face several waves of Super Mutants who literally spawn out of thin air and attack you before he even spawns. Death by Cranes posted:So I should sneak past all the mutants to get up to the top, find and talk to Tabitha? All without being seen? Sounds like too much hassle. It is actually rather easy. There is a bear-trap and Indiana-Jones style rock trap up a little nook of the mountain which takes you around the majority of the mutants. Just stealth-boy the rest of the way through the Nightkin to the storage building and repair Rhonda. As soon as you exist, Tabitha is right there and initiates a dialog.
