I'm really enjoying the Nick and Artie Show so far.

The Nick and Artie show is now available on iTunes, and I assume any other rss type thing you want to use to download the shows.

As others have said, the show is really fun, even if you do not follow sports.

I am totally and completely not a sports guy at all, but I gave Monday's NICK AND ARTIE a try over the last couple days and have been laughing my butt off. I definitely glaze over a bit when the sports stuff comes up, but even that's still amusing to me. I just wish I had more hours in the day to listen to this and all the podcasts I'm hooked on. Three hours, even "radio hours," is a lot of time!

I would say, "we should have a Nick and Artie Show thread", but honestly it's kind of nice to break up our constant dissapointment with how much THSS sucks now with the occasional upbeat posting for N&A. :)

God forbid the little dummy not watch one of his precious tv shows the moment it airs. Eric claims to be such a sports fan, I'm sure Artie would love to hear the grumpy munchkin's opinion of the week's games. Make it a regular feature: Ten minutes a week of Eric unable to get a word in edgewise through Artie's interruptions.

Hahaha I'm listening to this one (the 18th) right now and it's loving amazing, when the timid conservative guy calls in complaining about the porn discussion and Attel's just like "What kind of porn do you like sir?" and the guy goes on about his sports affiliations in "his community"- I loving died. N&A have been on fire as of late, their website needs to get added to the OP, it has every recent show archived incase people didn't know. Actually, it probably deserves its own thread at this point? 3 hours monday-friday that have been consistently funny as apposed to Howard as of late. e: nevermind, I just saw Quack's post and agree with it

http://www.nickandartie.com/
Also commercial free podcast on itunes

I loving love how pretty much every actual sports discussion devolves into gambling odds and what picks to make. My favorite recurring thing is when people call in and open with "Artie I loving love you! So good to hear your voice!" and Nick just goes "Thank you, sir." or just makes some annoyed comment. Also the cleaning woman. Artie's just incredible on the radio, I hope he continues doing well. He makes some distressing comments about being on the wagon and being unable to do anything fun for the rest of his life, it'd be horrible to hear him relapse again :ohdear:

Over/under on when Artie calls out sick? Too soon?

lovely it's iTunes. The iTunes page does link to this
code:

But when I click the link it 404s. I added that URL into dogcatcher (android podcast client) with no success. Is this something that I will have to use iTunes for?

Also, in regards to the conversation last page about the affectation of the voices, is that a new complaint or did you feel the same way when Artie was on THSS? Because it sounds like the same Artie to me.

I love Nick and Artie and have been listening to it over the last 2 weeks. I am listening to last night's show and is it just me, or is Nick Dipaolo seguing more of the discussion into politics compared to the first 2 weeks of the show? I would hear his opinions every now and then and but now it seems he's throwing his views into most of the topics now.

It's really not though. Where's the comedy? Anyway, it's really not that easy to just stop listening after you've been listening for your entire life. It's like you feel invested in the show, so you need to finish it's course right along side of it. It's weird but that's how it really is.

I listened to most of it in a few long stretches and he has and does shoehorn his stupid views into a lot of conversations. It really stands out because he is one of those types, like scott.

The good thing is Artie doesn't give a poo poo so he justs shrugs them off instead of discussing it.

It has started to creep into the last 3 shows...but to be fair they do talk about a lot of current events and there have been some pretty important political stories the last few days.

Personally I enjoyed the interview with the woman who co-wrote a book with Martha Stewart's daughter.

They said her dad is some rich music industry rear end in a top hat, I assume this booking was a favor to one of Howard's phony Hamptons friends? I think I'd rather get another Omarosa update.

Yep. I basically went through the 5 stages of grief over 1-2 years before giving up entirely.

Denial: He's still the best thing on radio, even if the show has changed with Artie gone.

Anger: Did he really just do another loving hour talking about Dancing with the Stars... for the third time this week?

Bargaining: I'll just skip the first hour and tune in for guests/bits.

Depression: 3 days a week?!

Acceptance: I wonder what Opie & Anthony are like?

I'd love to hear audio of these calls AxeManiac mentions, if anyone can point me in the right direction.

I watched Citizen Kane recently. Before, I thought of Howard's last couple of years as his Imus phase -- worn out, tired, running on fumes. Now I think he's entering his Charles Foster Kane phase -- still trying to control everything around him and failing, unhappy, isolated, with a pretty younger wife he keeps in his huge mansion like a beautiful prison.

I figure once Howard's out of the public eye completely, Beth will leave him like Kane's wife did and he'll wander through a huge empty mansion alone until he dies.
