How to succeed at unarmed: 1. Run up to thing. 2. Hit thing. 3. Run up to next thing. 4. Hit thing. High level unarmed is hilariously awesome, you can knock the head off almost everything. Not sure hw to deal with cazadores, tho, but gently caress those drat butterflies. Also, superheated saturnite first FTW.

I'm looking forward to my next run when I get back to my proper gaming system; first time with a Legion loyal character and melee and explosves expert with 1 intelligence. The descriptions of heads exploding off with single hits is fantastic.

Places I've depopulated so far: Goodsprings, Primm, Novac, Mojave Outpost. Game needs more people. I can't stop murdering them! Melee+sneak is hilariously fun. You can murder all the guards at the outpost and still be liked by them.

Here's how you deal with cazadores: go into Big MT and get all the cazador implants from the Auto-Doc, and when you leave just keep your Artificial Heart. You'll never be poisoned again and cazadores will be much easier to kill.

Is there a part near the beginning of Lonesome Road where your vision is -supposed- to go blurred/double for over five minutes or am I experiencing some kind of bug or mod conflict? On my way to the tunnel I start picking up +10rads/sec and my vision gets so terrible it literally makes me nauseous in real life. It doesn't seem to go away. Its happening right after I pick up the laser detonator.

I completed the game back on release and left it to rot.. now I'm keen to play again and do one of these fancy Unarmed runs. I used a bladed gauntlet for the first half of the game, and superheated saturnite fist for the second half. Paralysing palm works with unarmed weapons, piercing strike is a must. VATS is your best friend in close group combat. I understand you even do more damage in vats. All unarmed weapons are silent, so get that sneak up so you can upercut peoples heads off right in front of them without them noticing. Jury rigging is even still nice to have on hand because the unarmed cross repair list is pretty wide. Also: Fist of the north Rawr I really wish there were more things you could do to unconscious people though. you cant even pickpocket them... Need a coup de grace mod to make golden gloves fun to play with.

I just did a playthrough with Morning Person; it's not bad as long as you plan everything around that loving period where you have minus to everything. You're awesome in the morning, meh in the afternoon and absolute poo poo at night, basically... The most annoying thing about it is suddenly becoming encumbered at noon.

Agreed on Skilled the reason I avoid Wild Wasteland is that most of the jokes are only funny once, and you miss out on one of the best energy weapons in the game, if not the best. There's just so many better perks to fill that spot with negligible downsides: Hoarder, Built To Destroy, Small Frame, Good Natured.

Melee-weapon builds can use the Heavy Handed perk quite effectively and efficiently since melee weapons don't consistently have great crit-multipliers and bonus crit damage, thus a negligible downside. There is even the opportunity after finishing Dead Money to negate the downside pretty much completely. Obviously there are some exceptions like Old Glory, but even then the perk is still powerful. With power-hitters like Knock-Knock, Chainsaws, etc, you really just loving maul folks. Kharmakazy posted:I have to repair my poo poo too often as it is without it degrading faster.. no way I can justify built to destroy. But I guess good natured makes sense seeing as how im trying to up speech and repair early on anyhow. Good Natured is great because while most characters tend to focus only one, maybe two offensive skills. While all the utility/non-combat skills tend to have great value all through the game for any character. So you might end up trading away 10-15 likely irrelevant points, and 5-10 desired points for +25 better distributed ones. This is just plain min/maxing, helping you hit those critical/useful value points earlier, like 50 science or 80 repair for Jury Rigging. I can't seem to unholster my weapon. I can change weapons and it shows up on the Courier when in third person, but the fire key, VATS, nor the R key do anything, not even a not-allowed sound like when activating the Use key when not focused on a usable item. Ideas?

I caused my game to have an aneurysm. On my legion run all I had left to do was meet with the guy and do that last thing. Only it froze there for some reason. So I teleported back to ceasar and murdered the crap out of him. Then I went back to the guy and he was ready to attack the thing for some reason... Midway through attacking the thing... I Found the target general guy sitting at a desk and he was all like... debug debug... we need to to take out that guys encampment.... im all WTF..... So I was like... Sure... switch sides during the final battle? Why the hell not. And the whole thing went off without a hitch. The end slides pretended that I helped the NCR instead of the legion.... but whatever.

I only brought two gold bars out of DM, but I got so much loving Pre-war money out of the casino, I can't even get rid of it. Seriously, I've got like 12k of the stuff. Can't dump it in one go, and it'd take too long to scroll that inventory thing down to a manageable amount for a vendor. Eventually I'm gonna go back to Novac and fill out the bathroom of that hotel room with cash, but right now I'm just walking around with it and grumbling.
