I don't know if it's related, but since about the second day of me buying these 10 cent apps, my SGSII is randomly shutting off once or twice a day. Anyone else having any trouble? I guess I'll try uninstalling them and see if it magically stops restarting or if I've got some annoying hardware problem. If that fails, I guess I wipe the device.

It's pain in the rear end if you're out of signal, but meh, it beats having no Android versions of their games. That said, yeah, some of them are... I wouldn't say "shifty" but perhaps "looks good, built bad". Like a porn star with Alzheimer's.

How much more battery do third party music players gobble up over the stock player? Specifically interested in DoubleTwist and PowerAMP.

What happened to the ability to click on commenters in the Market to see the list of apps they had installed? I found 80% or more of the apps I liked that way, stuff that would never have shown up otherwise (buried in the Market's grand trash heap) like Etherophone. Is that functionality available anywhere anymore? e: it was fun the way wandering Wikipedia is fun. "Oh, that looks interesting" and then in the comments for that app "Oh, that looks interesting" and all of a sudden you have to hit Back 100 times to exit the Market. I'm using widget locker with the ICS theme, but I'd love for some way to control Google Music from the lock screen. Is there any way to do that? I tried Phantom Music controller and a couple other popular music widgets and none of them work well, or they FC widget locker or the player.

I use the default widget but it only lets you play/pause and skip to the next track. You have to open the actual app (which you can do from the widget) to go back, for example. Also it's ugly.

FWIW, Pure Music Widget works with Google Music, but it can't load the album art if you're using a widget size that would normally show art. I'm using Phantom Widget(paid) with Google Music currently and it works most of the time.

I'm looking for a way to use the built in lockscreen music controls, the simple Back, Pause/Play, Forward arrows that pop up when you are playing music in the default CM7 lock screens. They disappear when nothing is playing and are very straight up and simple. Google Music widget is ugly, pure Music widget doesn't hide when nothing is playing, and Phantom Music (paid) only works half the time. Usually it says "no track is loaded" and when I click it it FC, and sometimes it makes Widget Locker FC.

When I tried it, if I hit pause or next track it would often open the stock player or the doubletwist player and start playing a random song. Then pause would just switch between the two music players. I emailed the dev and he was really great about trying to fix it, but ultimately neither of us could figure it out.

I'm growing tired of the Amazon app store fighting with Market apps on my phone. Example: I got Shazam free from Amazon's free app of the day a while back. Since updates on Amazon are delayed, I got Shazam from the 10 cent sale on the Android Market. Today, I received an update from the Market for Shazam. Updated. Then, I opened the Amazon market, say yet another update for Shazam. After updating via Amazon, the Shazam app will not open. Annoying that the two markets are fighting over who's update is correct, rendering the app in question useless in the end. Stick a fork in the Amazon fork already.
