Sound of Arrows - Conquest http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7txc0XxTM6E Wowwweee. I just grabbed their album off itunes and its fantastic. 13 tracks and they're pretty much all awesome. They have a great Pet Shop Boys vibe going on. William Lee posted:Phase 1 lineup for Ultra has been released... So after an insane weekend, I am finally getting around to posting about my Snowglobe experience. I attended the Friday show with Bassnectar as the headliner. I arrived at the show just in time to catch the last couple songs by Dilated Peoples which was cool since I have been a fan for a long time. Then I headed straight to the second stage tent where Madeon was playing. He had a really fun set and everyone was super excited to see him live so the atmosphere was perfect. The kid has an insane amount of talent and will only get better as time goes by. The biggest criticism I have is that his set was too short and I wasn't close enough to the stage. After Madeon, I stayed at the second stage for A-Trak which was awesome. I have not listened to him much but was really digging his style and appreciated the skill it takes to do what he does. I left that stage a little early to get a decent spot for Bassnectar. Now, I had only listened to a few Bassnectar songs because I am not really into dubstep and didn't have high expectations. This guy put on a loving incredible show. Not only did he play a great set but he was super energetic and really connected with the crowd. The light show was also pretty amazing and he played a really long set which I appreciated. My only criticism is that I pretty much reached my limit of the amount of dub I can handle about 3 songs before he finished. Needless to say though, I was extremely impressed and had a great time. As for the atmosphere at Snowglobe, it was pretty chill. The only thing I didn't care for was the fact that it was all ages and so there were a lot of 16 year old kids there which made me feel a little awkward. Oh also, as we were pushing our way out from near the front, my friend bumped into a chick who was bent over sucking some dude's dick. At least I have a story to tell the kids someday, right?

I've never heard of this guy FIXYN but he put out a really fantastic Electro-House (Conplextro?) remix of M83's Midnight City. http://soundcloud.com/fixyn/m83 Took a few elements from the original and turned it into a completely different track.

Just read Wikipedia lol.

Yeah I'm surprised I haven't seen more remixes. Not complaining though, I find it annoying when songs get remixed to hell. I'm not even sure I could pick the original "Save The World" out of a lineup at this point. TON!C's got a new track up on his soundcloud that bangs pretty hard: http://soundcloud.com/tonic626/ton-c-groundy-original-mix Definitely worth a listen, or 10. At least in my opinion!

Anybody in the Northeast hitting up the Winter White Tour next month? Each stop has different lineups with an all-white attire (although I doubt it'll be enforced). I'm personally going to the UNH stop with Guetta, Alesso, and R3hab. Also, has anybody in the Cambridge/Boston area ever been to Throwed? It seems worth checking out when they have a decent DJ, but the crowd seems really trashy based on videos like this.

It can be real cool or real awful like that video depending on the night. It's 18+ also which tends to get old real quick.

I've been once, because I'm friends with a guy who used to do the videography for them. I didn't like it at all. Lots of people drinking who shouldn't be drinking, dancing badly in a tiny-rear end room.

Mord killed it and you could tell that Throwed made sure he had a hyped up audience, but man most of the kids there were wearing those "Let's Rage!" shirts and I can't tell you how many times I heard "Who's pushing me?". I was in the very front... The entire crowd is pushing you girl.

I just released a new beat tape, taking influence from UK bass, house, as well as trap beats. Its a different style than the disco house I've released in the past, more chilled and purp'd out but I think some of you here may enjoy it! Paris Hilton is trying to break into EDM Sign my petition, tweet it, share it -- I doubt it will have any affect on anything but if it gets any support from a big name DJ -- this could snowball into something huge. Otherwise its good for a chuckle. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/ban-paris-hilton-from-edm/
