It costs money, so that knocks out like 90% of the people using those websites right off the bat. More likely torrents will start seeing more of a resurgence.

Just curious, what do you guys do with shows that aren't on anymore in Sickbeard? Do you leave them in the DB, or get rid of them? The only reason I can see it mattering is for getting updated season art.

I keep them in there so sickbeard will get bluray quality rips when available.

I started using Mediadog the other day. It's a pretty good remote control app for SABNZBD+, Sickbeard, and Couchpotato for Android.

It's $3 on the market, but the developer has it for free on the XBMC forums if you want to try it.

Did it work previously?

It worked before, and then I upgraded everything in apt, and manually updated SABnzbd.

The script is pointing to /usr/bin/python which is pointing to 2.6.
I had chmod +x but I didn't do a+x so I'll try that.

Thanks :)

Nope that didn't work. Bah.

Become the user that runs sickbeard, and try and run that whole line (/home/clown/.sabnzbd/scripts/sabToSickBeard.py) and see what happens.

Try typing "which python" and it should give you the actual path. Sometimes python is installed elsewhere. With that path, include it at the top of the .py

Don't run it like that, run it exactly as Sabnzbd says it's running it. The sabToSickBeard.py script might not have a proper hash bang at the front so it can't find python or something.

OK, I'm feeling a bit confused. I was running sabnzbd-suite with sick beard and couchpotato just fine in openelec. But then I had to format the external HD I was using for storage. Didn't think this should have much of a bearing on how sabnzbd functions, but apparently there's a problem.

Anything that sick beard or couchpotato send to sabnzbd gets this:

URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file, Try again

Everything. Doesn't matter which search provider was used to find the nzb.

I've messed around with the settings for a while but can't seem to figure it out. I'm stumped. Any ideas?

EDIT: Holy poo poo. I'm a loving idiot. I can't believe it took me the better part of an hour to figure this out. Never mind, sorry.

I leave everything in the DB. We have the Sab/SB/CP server running 24/7 for the house so its nice to be able to see what shows we have without going to the share.

If it's empty that means it cannot connect, so you either need to use your internal IP or forward the proper ports.

Just posting to show my appreciation for this thread. I never tried getting into usenet because I thought it was too complicated, but after dabbling a few days with it I'm more than happy that I tried. I got an astraweb unlimited account and a few gigs an blocknews and short of a few problems with sickbeard (can't re-add a show I accidently deleted, a few shows end up skipped instead of wanted) everything really runs smoothly.

Here to blow my own horn.
I'm doing something wrong with couchpotato. I added some queue items but I want it to download the following items in order of preference

(prefer)
Dvdr (including screeners and R5)
720p
1080p
BR-Rips
Xvids

(everything else can go gently caress itself)

I want the top 3 to satisfy the queue (finished I think is the term)

I've messed with the settings but can't seem to make it work right to do what I'm describing.

Little help?

I can't get Couchpotato to work. I've got Sickbeard and SABnzdb working like a charm, so I understand the general setup, and I can add movies to Couchpotato, but it never seems to find anything. Is one of the nzb providers more reliable than others? Are they all crap now, or have I just screwed up the settings somewhere? Should I just break down and let it use torrents instead?

I have my couchpotato loaded with NZBMatrix and NZB.su - I really haven't seen it actually snatch any movie in months.

My other issue from the last couple of months is that when I manually drop a movie .nzb file into the SABNZBD watch folder once it has been downloaded and unpacked - XBMC cannot read the file. TV shows processed via SickBeard work perfect.

Same releases via torrent work fine in XBMC as well. Sigh.

I use it with nzbs.org, nzbmatrix and nzb.su without issues. Select a movie and click the force search button. What does the log say after a search? You can access it through the web GUI by clicking on the settings wheel or whatever.

I've checked the log and from what I can tell it's looking but not finding anything. At least it's not throwing up any obvious errors. Like WINTER IS COMING up there, I'm only using matrix and .su so maybe it's my lack of a .org membership that's the problem. :smith:

Gunslinger, can you tell if all your hits are coming from .org? If you're hitting from multiple, maybe I hosed up my login info or something although I would expect it to toss up an error in the log if that were the case.

(edit): nevermind, I re-entered my matrix info and it successfully pulled something from there, so I must have screwed something up before. Hooray!

I(and I assume many others) are having this same problem. Not sure if its something with Eden or maybe how CouchPotato writes the NFO files now. Even a lot of the 'manual' media scrapers have been hit or miss for me in XBMC. Sickbeard shows appear perfectly for me as well.

For movies, the only 'workaround' I've found is to uncheck 'Get Metadata' in CP, allow it to rename/clean up the download, and use XBMC's internal movie scraper instead of local NFO files.

I also have the same issue where I download the NZB manually and add to SABNZBD myself. I have also stopped all post processing in SABNZBD and unrar'd myself to no avail.

SickBeard shows are fine. Couchpotato is not doing any scraping on its own.

Could the unpacking, renaming, moving of files have anything to do with it?
