Three kids from my highschool now make progressive or electro. Another got his first gig to DJ Hip Hop. I'm so right now I don't even. I would just have never expected this from them.

It's okay to not like A-trak's music or his style, but comparing him to that video is like saying this guitar player is way better than this drummer.

I've not been keeping up, have their been any 'best of' lists for last year? I want to check to see if I've missed anything. Also I want to throw together a quirky little playlist for a friend stuff along the lines of Siriusmo and Gonzales, is there anyone else I should be looking at? Thanks.

The Chemical Brothers' Don't Think was a lot of fun. There were a few things I didn't like (the mini-narrative parts that comprise most of the trailer footage: girl walking around the festival). But the way they captured the audience and Ed and Tom on stage was drat near perfect. Very candid, and intimate despite being at a huge festival. Lots of visual effects on the live footage that reflected the projections on stage, which I thought was really effective. I hope it isn't really a one-night theater event, but if it goes to DVD/whatever I would recommend checking it out. Been listening to Daphni (aka Caribou) - Ye Ye almost non-stop for the past bit. The main synth line is seriously unbelievable. The "ye" that sounds like Lil Wayne is also way tight.
