I've only been once when I was on tour with another band. Unfortunately I just don't see us traveling very far. Then again, three years ago I wouldn't have imagined us playing live at all, but here were are doing just that. Cosmos, Sagan, astronomy/cosmology in general influenced us so much. It's not just a gimmick we used for the album. I own two telescopes, one of which is huge, I'm on the astronomy thread here all the time, and I host small star parties to take friends out and show them awesome things like Jupiter and the Moon despite living in one of the most light polluted cities in the world (NYC). I saw Explosions in November in Stuttgart and yeah, they really are great live. In the same vein as objectively bad's post, they were supported by The Drift, who are worth a listen I reckon - http://www.myspace.com/trldrift. Sort of jazzy ambient. I'd definitely go see either of them again if I had the chance. I'm also seeing Caspian in about a week which I'm really looking forward to. I really have to thank this thread, I've gotten into a lot of new bands just on the recommendations in here.

Someone who was on the boat temporarily was practicing downstairs and I asked her if she'd wanna play something over a song we had already recorded. Singularity is the result. That band was interesting. Interesting to see a band that uses the sax so predominately. I will say though that I have a problem with guitarist who play shirtless, haha. Or anybody who plays shoeless. Call me old fashioned. My favorite sax that makes me mess my pants is Bohren & der Club of Gore. Not really post-rock, more like doom jazz.
