WOO WHOOO! Just did 1:42.421 in the Challenger/Laugna rivals after Moootallica took it up a notch. It only took something like 15 laps, and my hands a burning. But that was fun. (I still loving hate this car)

I'm slowly pushing my way up the leaderboards for the Challenge Laguna challenge. Simply to grind as many credits as possible, which usually means I have to sandbag the sprint to the finish so my rival can catch up again. This car is very fun to drive with a wheel. It just consistently attempts to murder you as you apply plenty of opposite lock!

But watch it be just a souped up Studebaker station wagon or something. When they bring out the Studebaker Golden Hawk and the Avanti, you'll have to let me know how you like your crow. Just as long as it's not Brabus, though. vvv Throw in a Packard Super 8 and I'll be first in line for that DLC. CovfefeCatCafe fucked around with this message at 16:44 on Feb 11, 2012 |

Like I could see a Super Classic pack with like a Daimler Motorwagen, Austin Seven, Models A and T, ZZ Top's Eliminator, a Duesenberg, etc. etc. selling really well. To me, anyway. I would buy that instantaneously.

Other rumors he has leaked out this week, includes at least one more new manufacturer to Forza 4, through DLC; It'll be a 500+ horse power car. I'd imagine their first open wheel car would either be a Formula car or the Ariel Atom 500. Instant leaderboard car.

At least if you were driving your 9FF Clubsport at neighborhood speeds, you wouldn't have to worry about hitting a kid because your braking time is functionally zero.

To the vast majority of Forza players, a "selection" of F1 cars is what Gran Turismo's "selection" of Skylines is to us. They'd be much better off with an Ariel Atom, a Lotus T125 or a 2-Eleven, a Caterham Seven or r500, KTM X-Bow, etc.

I'd love to see some F1 cars, but I can see where Turn 10 maybe hesitant, as it seems there's a good chunck of people who've become Forza fans with 4, but aren't really car people. I was talking with a friend of mine from college and he mentioned a friend of his not understanding why there was "some crummy Alfa" in the new DLC. But there's more to open wheel race cars than just F1. There's also Formula Ford, the Mazda series, IRL & Cart, etc. I'm sure there's plenty of people who'd like to drive Danica Patrick's car, while trying to feel superior to NASCAR fans. That being said, I'd love to see more Grand Am cars. I thought there were one or two in Forza 3, but I don't think they made it into 4 (probably because one was a Porsche, iirc).

A spec open wheel series like F3, F3000, GP2, World Series Renault or Formula Ford/Barber/Audi/BMW would be ideal for FM5. Everyone has the same car.

What would it take for Turn 10 to put up a new set of Rivals events? I can't imagine it'd take more than a day or two of labor to have a guy set up "B Class, RWD, Road America" or whatever ten times and create a whole new set. I'm starting to get tired of the current set.

My favorite part about it is how if you nail the last corner, it's too unstable to take the entire front straightaway at full throttle/full speed - unless you take the extreme perfect line over the crest, you're going to have to lift just a sec to keep it from spinning off into a black hole. On a straight.

Turn-10 is running a contest this weekend (it's mentioned in this weeks review), to enter you're suppose to check out a Top Gear USA advertisement on the Dash Board, but i'm not seeing where the ad is. Has anyone spotted it yet? The requirements are just to enter the contest, and play Forza 4 once this weekend. You have a chance of winning 100,000 Microsoft points. I'm spending all of it on Car Tokens if I win.

When they eventually start modelling open wheelers, I'd like to see them do a secondary game to the main Forza. They should do a next gen GP Legends or a Motorsport Legends that's based on pretty much everything prior to the 80's

Open wheeled cars?! Ariel Atom 300 Supercharged!! ARIEL ATOM 300 SUPERCHARGED! That supercharger is THE reason I still have PGR4. In surround sound it's like having a banshee scream into your ears when you're hitting the throttle. Everyone else here can keep their V12 grunters, I want that scream! Also my Xbox died. Hopefully I can make it to the next GTCC. Having a local shop fix it up, I don't need this one to last much longer.

I just hope it doesn't become the sole selling point of FM5. As much as I want a Caterham or an Ariel Atom or even a KTM X-Bow to flog around Fujimi, if that's the only major advancement then it'll be a bit of a downer considering there are other areas that need improvement as well. But that's all probably a couple years down the road so I guess getting too worked up over it isn't helping any. Though if we at least get time of day options for all the tracks (not necessarily night racing, but at least sunrise/sunset and overcast), that would be extremely nice. I can't even do Hockenheimring at midday anymore because the sunrise version is so pretty looking. A sunset version of Maple Valley would probably be the best track ever.

I love that Benchmark Layout E exists in this game. There is literally the perfect environment for my stock-except-for-rims-and-wing Chevy Spark. If there was a K-Mart attached to the parking lot, it would be even better.
