I whispered some grossly insulting remark in his ear. He flamed up and gave me a slap in the face. We grasped our swords; the ladies fainted; we were separated; and that same night we set out to fight.

Well anyone heard of this?

I've been meaning to go to Starscape for a few years now, never got around to it. Its usually a good time I hear, hut I'd wait for a lineup before committing this year, presales are already $75 and no one has been announced yet.

Could you report whether Mat Zo is still doing heavy mashup sets? When he did TATW 400 he was mashing 4+ tracks together throughout his set and I'm curious as to whether he's continuing it or whether that was just another Mat Zo phase.

He was doing a bunch of mashups. I recognized a bunch of stuff from the bipolar mix that was posted a while back. It was a great show. We stayed at his stage for the majority of his set.

I just saw Mord on valentine's day and he played a bunch of new songs. New EP is definitely coming out soon. Mord Fustang is seriously my biggest influence right now. I have no idea how he manages to pack as many instruments and sounds into his songs as he does and still have it sound crisp and clear.

The funk box at the sullivan room on Sundays is promoted towards the younger generation of house dancers. There are a ton of youtube videos for it. In a similar vein, the Shelter on Sunday afternoons historically has had really good dancers and a welcoming crowd, although I haven't been to the latest incarnation that has started up a few months ago. Here's an article on the shelter (although be forewarned things have changed a lot since this was written!): http://www.djhistory.com/features/gimme-shelter-2007-0 . If you like the jus-ed etc type of house that crew's clubhouse parties often have good dancers. But really, there are talented dancers at all sorts of events.

Seriously, I first listened to Madeon's new track on a 4 hour flight and it took all of my self-control to not start dancing in the aisle. He really has a talent for making a very complex mix without making it feel overwhelming. I want to hear this live so bad that I'm getting really sad about not going to Coachella.
