1. KotT against Juan Pablo Montoya gets you a 2012 Aston Martin Zagato for competing and a 2007 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Unicorn for beating his posted time of 1:32.574

2. For beating T10 member johniwanna's time in the monthly Wiesmann challenge you will receive a 2005 NSX-R GT Unicorn his time is 2:12.477. Also You must beat this time BEFORE 8 a.m. PST March 13

3. If you have VIP you can do the VIP Rivals event to win a 2002 MINE'S R34 Skyline GT-R Unicorn. All you have to do is participate.

4. Every week 100 randomly selected people who did the Zagato rivals event will receive a 2002 BMW M3-GTR "Street Version" Unicorn

This is awesome news because I don't have any of these Unicorns

Well ive already got the lambo unicorn but I guess im due another one now although that slso goes for last months camaro. Deffo want the NSX-R GT though and the Mines.

Is there any news regarding standard CSR firmware? Maybe even something from Turn10 about improved 900 degree support in the new (or some future) title update? Not that the wheel isn't awesome, but considering it's branded with a big fat Forza logo the implementation should be better than - for example - in the seven year old Richard Burns Rally I'm also playing.

It shows a 1:33 as my time to beat, and when I check the leaderboards, my best time is only a 1:34-something.

Haven't heard any news on firmware for a while, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere along the way that they intended to bring the autoclutch to all the wheels (with no ETA or even probable ETA) so fingers crossed that still happens. Can't find a whole lot of mention on it anywhere official however...

I assume they've been all hands on deck right now trying to get the CSW out since it's already late (and it's not like they don't already have a reputation for lateness) and the fact that Thomas updated his blog today for the first time in 3 weeks makes me think they've been spending all efforts with that product release.

They really are a much smaller operation than their product would imply so I wouldn't be surprised at all if everyone from every team was solely focused on CSW and that the firmware update priority is back-burner until that's out.

(PS the autoclutch is the coolest thing ever, hope this information is helpful)

You can have flappy pedals and shifter enabled, I've tried it before. Although I now use the paddles to look left and right since the standard option gives you no ability to look left or right.

Haha no problem! Trust me, I made the same face when I was futzing in the options because I said to myself "No way in hell can you NOT look left and right with a wheel, is this some sort of Kinect KONSPIRACY?!"

The CSW comes with a joystick nub...I think it works as a hat view, but I don't know. Can any goons confirm that the CSW stick nub lets you look around?

if you know someones gamertag you can go to their storefront and add them as a favorite. Then if you cycle through the change a rivals thing there is one that shows you the favorites.

I'm in the same boat. After 30 minutes, I can't get anything better than about a 1:35. The slow corners in the middle of the track are just killing me, since getting one of them wrong seems to screw up the entries for the rest, and running wide on them is costing me a ton of time.

It can - I have it on Profile 1 and Profile 2 is set to the exact same settings but minus ACL, so it's a couple buttons worth, but still pretty easy to swap back and forth when I want to use the shifter/do it myself. But if I'm going flappy paddles, it's nice to not be disadvantaged to controller users on drag races.

gently caress turn 7 right in the rear end. Your entry has to be perfect and I'm watching some sub 1:32 ghosts and I just can't wrap my mind around how fast they are going into it. If I try anything like that I cook that corner like a mother fucker.

I blasted the Wiesmann time no problem though.

Turn 1 is killing me right now, having problems with 7 just like you are. I'm way off your pace, but I've noticed I make up a lot of time on the slower cars by not braking for 5. I'm surprised so many people hit the brakes going into it.

He set a clean lap like a week after the contest started, but it was less than a half second faster than his initial dirty lap (and still slower than my initial warmup lap from a standing start, ha). I kinda suspect someone from Turn 10 logged onto that gamertag and put in a clean lap to keep the contest from being a total pushover.

T10 decided that the user base was to lowly to to inform whether or not that had to do clean laps relative to the celebrity's dirty lap so we won't have a definitive answer until people start receiving the February KotT cars, but I've been recommending that people beat the times clean just to be sure. It'd be a lovely way not to get a Unicorn you want if you thought you were safe with a slow clean lap and turned out not to be. But yeah, like I said we'll all know for sure in a few days.
