Although... it occurs to me that we've never seen the two of them at the same time. Hmmmm.

Clearly, Surma is Jones and Surma is actually Odin.

Coyote knows Jones's true form, and Tea-San said the nickname didn't come from mythology.

We've spent so much time looking at the stories of the past. What if Coyote took her name from a different kind of story. A STORY OF THE FUTURE!

Well, he's at it full-time now. I hope he makes enough from this comic to get by... :ohdear:

If this isn't a sign for me to buy the books, I don't know what is.

Does this mean he's going to sit down to work out a good business plan to monetize this comic better? I hope so. I want to see Orientation in every bookstore in the land.

Hopefully Tom will be happy with this decision. I'll try and see if I can donate or buy the books if I have cash to spare.

As for the actual strip today, Tony is hilarious as a kid. Wonder if he's only like that with close friends.

Ahh! Anthony is being a person!

It's also pretty cool how Don could tell Anthony was torn up on the inside, just like he could with Annie.

You know, some of his designs I reckon could even sell well in generic stores without the Gunnerkrigg context. Court Symbol and Coyote shirts, for example, I think would do fine.

Yeah, I want to know this, too. If it's TopatoCo or Amazon that was the best profit for him, I'll probably grab them with some other stuff I was planning to order soon.

Dammit. I bought the Coyote t-shirt, then realized that the Court t-shirt exists. I'll order it in week or two, but I wish I'd ordered them together... :smith:

Ah well, it's not like it'll matter in a few weeks when I have them both anyway :v:

Hey guys. Man this was a tough decision. I should have done it a long time ago, really. I'm hoping it all works out. I'll let people know what I'm planning on my site on Monday.

However, yes, books bought from Topatoco are basically the only way I see profit from them. I'm doing this on the assumption that I don't get money from books though, and I hope I can still manage it. Still trying to get copies of Vol 2 pushed through, and I can tell the publisher is a little reluctant to send books to Topatoco since they make less money on them too.

That said, please don't feel you HAVE to get them from Topatoco! Wanting to buy my books at all is just great, and you can probably find them cheaper elsewhere; bookstores, Amazon, other places too, and all books sold let the companies know that people want to buy them, which might even help me in the long run.

And Tom: Congratulations. You're an absolute hero and I hope everything goes astoundingly, ridiculously well for you from here on out. Anthony as a kid absolutely cracks me up, responding to "you just know [when you like a girl]" with "UNACCEPTABLE " is the best possible reaction. drat it, Donny, what is the equation to deciphering if I want to hold hands with this dame? Do not hide the truth from me!

I'm really jealous of all the Coyote avatars, he's such an awesome character and the art is equally hilarious and breathtaking.

What merchandise is the most profitable for you? I know Topatoco is the best site to use, but do you see more from shirts or books? Do you prefer that people purchase the books since those can be shared with friends to promote the comic, whereas the shirts are, at best, a conversation starter?

I've been a fan of Gunnerkrigg for a while, and if it is going to be your primary source of income, I definitely want to support it. Preferably in a way where you get to eat meals and not birdseed.
