Lord Gaga posted:Holy poo poo. I always hear jeep guy after jeep guy saying how theyre busting U joints and I never understood why. Look at that pinion angle change. Usually all you need to do is put some steel shims in with the leaf packs, but more excessive lifts require the perches to be reoriented and welded in; particularly in a spring-over setup. Most Jeep guys (at least the weekend warrior variety) also don't change their rear drive line to a CV type after they lift the hell out of their rigs. The Dodge's axle wrap is just due to stupid lift blocks acting like fulcrums and presumably lovely driving habits exacerbating the fact.

The lack of proper restraints in some of them is pretty frightening though, some of those drivers were actually partially outside the car during the rolls.

You can pick up a small Donzi in nice shape for a few tens of thousand, but the guys in that video will mock you. The good news is the more custom, the less it resells for. At my auction we had a custom Fountain come through that was like $750,000 new, but only sold for $80,000 IIRC. Nothing says "I'm rich!" quite like a 40 foot long, purple and yellow boat with twin aluminum block Merlin 540's. Seizure Meat fucked around with this message at 11:18 on Apr 11, 2012 |

Yeah, I wouldn't be very composed if someone came to a dead stop in the road like that just to yell at me. It's certainly more unsafe then that guys "tailgating". Those kinds of BMW owners ruin it for the few of us that aren't assholes.
