I've been considering it. That and describing it misleadingly so those who read it will have their expectations blown away for better or worse.

I've been contemplating making a Korean webtoon thread for a while because I read enough of them, but I've just been too lazy. I can put one up over the weekend though if you're not already making one.

I thought veritas was a pretty good one for fights and stuff. I'm pretty sure it's never gonna get finished though, which kinda sucks. Then again I can't even remember when I actually read it or much of what happened in it so it's entirely possible it's not good and I have poor taste.

Id is one of those series that while I don't think is very good pretty much everyone I know who has read it really likes it...me included :(. It is so amazingly generic but executed extremely well I feel.

Superior is a pretty good romantic comedy/shounen action with a demon lord/hero if only the translation would get moving.

Trace is solid overall, has a bit more a western feel too it in some ways.

Dark Mage looks like it is shaping up to be pretty good, about some warrior losing all his Ki powers then learning dark magic in some crazy other world.

Witch Hunter seems like it has lots of potential but is suffering from writing issues.

Yureka has been running forever and is probably one of the best MMO world manga's. Half-prince is okay too.

Veritas is pretty bad, the breaker is a bit better and they feel so similar that sometimes I would confuse the series. THE 9TH TECHNIQUE OF THE 4TH MASTER OF THE TEMPLE FENG WO-DIM's 3RD STYLE OF THE WIND DRAGON CLANS, ULTIMATE TRIPLE HEAVENLY SLASH!!!<<<This is mostly what I remember about these two series too many characters that add little to the story and have way to complicated titles/technique names.

Legend of Maian has its good points and its really bad points.

It's not like you need to understand any of the technique babble to enjoy either series. Veritas is about everyone being a glorious rear end in a top hat and Breaker is about a guy adding everyone he meets to his murim harem.

When every single character is a sociopath so they all blend together it's hard to care who beats who, there's 0 tension because you almost invariably don't give a poo poo.

If you want to venture out into raw territory, I haven't seen The Wilds (more accurately "Teenage Girls: The Wilds"? Anyone have a nice, pithy, single word synonym for teenage girls?) translated at all, and it's a pretty good harem comedy/fighting webcomic. And it has some drat pretty art.

Dude is the first male to be admitted into a formerly all-girl's fighting school. Hijinks ensue.

There was one nice character in Veritas, but the setting did not exactly treat her kindly.

Girls of the Wild's is being translated regularly, though somehow its title got even engrishier.

Its premise isn't that original (a boy ends up as the only male student at a formerly all-girl high school, except the girls are all bloodthirsty and skilled martial artists), but the execution is a lot of fun.

Oh cool. Yeah, entirely derivative and overdone premise, but really well done.

But man, that title...

EDIT: And the translation in general, oi vey...but, I've seen much worse. And thanks for the tip Sarcophallus, about the ratings being tied into compensation somehow. let's fight is much less unclear though. and the author blog post said the rules will be explained next chapter

Unless there's some handicap on the Ranker, Baam is gonna lose horribly. Even if shinsoo attacks don't work on him, he's still way below the level of a ranker.
Of course that assumes it's a traditional fight which it might not be.

I recall way back when the wave users were getting taught by that dude in the sheep(?) costume that Baam mastered some part of Shinsoo control that the teacher (who was a ranker?) was angry that it took him ten years to master. So in these five years that passed, I have to believe that Baam is monstrously strong with all things related to Shinsoo. That could also explain why he was still hurt by the regular bombs used. I don't think it would be too far-fetched to say that Baam is easily on the same level as this ranker. But we'll have to actually see what is going to happen between them first.

From what we've seen, it's entirely possible that Baam has near perfect control of shinsoo. Does he even need a contract with the guardian of the floor to use shinsoo like others do? I can't remember. Anyway, if he doesn't he could theoretically use up as much shinsoo as he drat well pleases, normal rules be damned.

I think this might be the case. Remember when Lerolo or however his name goes sent a wave of shinsoo to all of the regulars and Baam was all "Was I supposed to feel nothing?" while everyone else was knocked on their asses? I think back then his ability was instinctual, but now he can probably control it extremely well.

I would go back and check, but I'm still at work and the sites are blocked.

I think, even more impressive than that was the first floor test, where the shinsoo density was something that "couldn't even be seen until the 20th floor." He ran through it like it was nothing. Even the Wing Tree guys thought it was a big deal - it was [e: a reason] why Yuri was going to give him the Wing Tree when she interrupted their test. Though, Ship got it instead.

Baam is climbing the tower after being horribly screwed by the test proctors. Now he is part of an organization pretty much every proctor who works to filter out dangerous elements would want to stop. This probably isn't the first ranker he has had to fight, and it certainly won't be the last.

Baam isn't just a very skilled wave controller. He is an irregular, and the normal rules of shinsoo physics and whatnot simply don't apply to him. He is stronger than the last test would indicate, and it indicated he was very strong, indeed.

Plus, look at the size of that guy. He probably isn't a physical brawler, which means he uses shinsoo. Long story short, shortie is hosed.

The rules are so complicated, but in this series that means we're going to see amazing strategizing and twists. Well, if Koon were around that's what it would mean.

I think the meta reason he's a member of FUG is that Zahard Princesses aren't allowed to hook up. Clearly he has to defeat Zahard to get with Yuri. The plot reason is they're the ones who engineered the whole betrayal by Rachel to hide him, which would mean the guy who first tested Baam and Rachel has ties to FUG.

If that was the case, why would Baam have abandoned even the concept of friendship? If no one else even saw Baam's body, why was it necessary to stab him in the back? Why would Rachel have lied and then used Baam's friends to carry her rear end up to the top of the tower? Rachel's betrayal was exactly what it seemed.

The entire system of regulars and tests is designed to keep Zahard on top. The androgynous coffee maniac was just doing his job when he conspired to murder Baam. Why wouldn't Baam want to rebel against a system whose express purpose is to kill him? Likewise, for FUG an irregular with a grudge and no attachments seems like a prime recruit.

Not sure what you're asking for the first one, but his death was blatantly faked. Rachel, and everyone else in part one, were just pawns used to fool the tower's rulers who wouldn't want another irregular causing trouble. Considering how there are always layers within layers, I'd say betrayal was also intended to condition him mentally.

I really wonder why he's made it so blatantly obvious that he's an enemy of the tower. He's basically made an open declaration of war. He's either incredibly confident or downright suicidal. Even if he can beat Love in a fight, there's no way everyone is gonna be like Love's boss and leave him alone. A regular taking out a ranker would be pretty drat surprising to the government of the tower, after all.

Nobody seems to know who he really is, if he kills a ranker and it comes out that he's an irregular then poo poo's gonna get real.

Also remember that he's special among irregulars in that he was chosen, but wound up having to open the doors himself. I wonder if he was chosen by the guardians for the purpose of overthrowing Zahard.

Ah but he is FUG which means people will assume something other than an irregular since FUG are a bunch of bogeymen in the tower. Also remember that Yeon said that she can put a hurting on rankers with her power and since viole is obviously (according to that test) stronger, it is not out of place that he could win now is it?
