I love glitch but for some reason I never mix it.. thanks for doing it for me (seeing as we seem to have very simliar tastes). Great, (mostly) clean mix, solid transition points and a good flow keeps me happy :) Your crossfader incident wasn't so bad at all. What are you mixing on?

Does anybody else here use and record out of ITCH? I had to amplify the resulting audio a LOT to get it to an acceptable level (and everything was turned up in ITCH), I'm wondering if that's a common thing?

I don't record within the program, but piping Itch into Pro Tools it comes out very quiet. Not quiet enough to be a problem, but I definitely needed to boost the gain quite a bit in PT. The great thing though is that the VCI has an incredible signal/noise ratio, so it's really no problem to just boost the gain.

I mix dubstep but specialise in certain sub-genres for different mixes. First up is a chilled/dubby set, with plenty of horn sections, beautiful pads and groovy off-beats. I would really appreciate any feedback!

This was one I had a rough draft of last night just messing around but I figured it sounded nice so I tried two more times and this is what I ended up with. It sucks not being about to use headphones to cue tracks. Done on my laptop + virtual dj again, I hope this doesn't contain any horrible transitions (apologies for the last one hahaha). Enjoy. Absolutely!

I currently hold down a residency at The Mousetrap on Thursday evenings for a weekly we call Altered Thurzdaze. I usually play twice a month, sometimes on my own playing dnb/dubstep/house, sometimes in a 4 turntable tag set with my DJ buddy, Kodama. The community there is great and everyone acts like family. On any given Thurzday, you might hear anything from dubstep to jungle to jamtronica to house.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkxoOIYojB4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGC8XIuJZoE

Indymojo.com does some larger one-off shows like RISE f/ Hulk, Josh the Funky 1, and Qarell coming up April 27 at a new downtown venue called Skybar 247. You can find most of the local EDM events listed via Indymojo.com. Feel free to email me at djhollowpoint1@gmail.com if you'd like more information.

Glad to see you're a Futureboogie man slimfast. I live in Bristol and they're absolutely killing it at the moment. I was also lucky enough to have Behling & Simpson send me their Faith Evans remix :)

I just found my copy of this and put it on failed drunken mix last week and was thinking I would drop it on q's show in a few weeks :argh:

That whole Satellite EP was wasted on a digital only release. One of my favourite releases last year and it didn't even come out on vinyl like it should've. I felt pure happy but also slightly saddened for buying it.

Come on MJ stop with this digi only thing you've been doing recently! You owe me since it was only me and like 6 others that bought all the stuff you put out on Prolific before it got cool to pretend to like Garage. Don't give me no shite about that's why it's digital only! :argh:

Absolutely. That compilation they put out last month is ridiculous (as you can tell by me playing two different tracks off of it)

Don't fear me, I'm just like you. But giant!
So I figure this is as close to a right thread for this as I can get. Since the summer is drawing ever closer this obviously means a ton of outside activities and usually most of them involving listening to music.

That’s why I was wondering if anyone has some good tips on awesome summer mixes (Preferably Hip hop, Reggae or Jungle, but anything goes really). I feel like I’m slowly going mad trying to search around Soundcloud for this so any help would be appreciated!

On another note, there has been some really great sets posted here lately. Even though I don't really post that much here I still download and listen to most of the stuff you guys post so keep up the good work!

Here's a hiphop mix I did about a year ago. When my life isn't so crazy hectic I plan to put together a follow-up. Hopefully a bit later this spring
