Yeah sounds like a great plan!

The former Reagan budget director is pretty good at explaining and breaking down taxes quickly without lying. He's done it a few times on this show without much subterfuge (which is atypical when talking about taxes on TV).Former Human posted:The best was when he said the Paul Ryan budget was a great plan but then admitted Ryan has submitted the same plan since 1998 and no one has taken it seriously for those 14 years. ExiledTinkerer posted:Besides, PJ lost his mantle to that rear end Gillespie in his smug jacket back in last season. I remember Gillespie wearing his patented Libertarian leather jacket openly mocking that mayor (I believe) about how his city/town sucks. That big mayor was ready to attack him.

I would have rather seen Cornel West swoop down from the rafters to snatch up that smug rear end in a top hat and then fly him back to the nest to be devoured. I'd never seen him anywhere before, so I decided to check out his website and oh boy what do you know it's a bunch of bullshit.

Buchholz was a complete rear end and ruined this episode. Between him, and Maher's rather bad monologue, this whole episode was a chore to watch.

Soft-spoken and starstruck 1 on 1 interview that was unenlightening: "Obama kissed me!" and "Manure trucks blocked me." Then to a panel featuring people spouting off madeup stats "Millionaires in the US make 10% of the income in this country." did I hear that right? The guy who said it seemed to be feigning incredulity too. It's so off I thought it was some form of absurd humor. The highlight of the panel was Chrystia Freeland making strange faces. Then to the comic/guest entrance who looks like the incarnation of Pigman (from the novel series). This is the part where Bill asks religious guest XYZ if we should've killed OBL. Oh and BTW all the guests have another new book out! End that with a rehashed monologue with really bad jokes and a rehashed new rules segment. (Writers take a week off)? That has been a problem for a few weeks or months now. Dumb guests that are never put on the spot for talking poo poo and lame joke segments that are more awkward than funny.

He's not really who I'd look to for information on the whole "pink slime" The only real reason to care about it one way or another is that the cost savings probably weren't passed on to us anyway. It's safe to eat, it's just terrible crap. And the pictures are kinda gross, but once lab-grown meat becomes cheap enough to be mass produced it's going to have the same issue even though it'll be a huge environmental win.

Yeah, this was the first episode in years that I actually fell asleep against somewhere past the halfway mark---had to DVR a rerun this morning just so I could get caught up with the thread and OT. There was just no spark to it---and these utterly lost Pelosi clips are just baffling to me compared to when Taibbi was the real time real reporter. However, to my horror, for some damned reason S.E. Cupp is coming back to the show next week---though I'm not sure if to poo poo up the panel again or just an interview.

Ah yes Kennedy---I had repressed that apparently! The sad thing is that even if we're just taking it off the top I suspect there's a real chance that we could actually see a panel like this somewhere in the remainder of 2012. Awesome panel would be what, Tyson/West/Booker nowadays?
