The cloud sound is really confusing though, it's sort of cross-pollinating with things like witch-house or chillwave or w/e.

Kendrick Lamar is at his best when he's freestyling or featured on a song like Game's The City, Schoolboy Q's Blessed, or Birdman's B Boyz. I saw some talk on the last few pages about Jeezy and I gotta say that the Recession was clearly the second best album. I think he chose better beats and had good flows accordingly. Also, I see 50 is dropping a new mixtape within the next couple of days and this dude Kidd Kidd is all over it. Looks like I should check him out, Thoughts/suggestions?

Just came back from El-P's release show. Despot, Heems, Mr. MahfuckinXquire, Big Jus, Killer Mike all held it down next to this rockstar level motherfucker. Even Action Bronson was kicking it onstage rolling fat rear end joints. He did Cancer 4 Cure front to back (minus Danny Brown's verse  it looks like Danny Brown is lost in Australia according to his twitter  ) and even did some old poo poo for an encore. The Apollo Brown/ O.C. album is really drat good, I hadn't heard anything about it when it dropped but it's got very solid production with a nice, warm throwback sound; O.C.'s on point too, and it's a rarity now hearing an album that's just a cohesive work from one mc and one producer.
