In Rainbows posted:For me, it's been seat belt enforcement zone warnings from my state since I guess we weren't cracking down on not wearing seat belts enough. So there's this big ad campaign, but I've only seen this one commercial again and again. I think Texas has you beat. There's one where this obnoxious friend is in the backseat making fun of his friend getting pulled over and the backseat passenger is the one who ends up getting the ticket. The friend is the most annoying shitstain on the planet and I want to change the channel every time that rear end in a top hat appears onscreen. The worst part is he makes this fake crying noise that sounds like nothing no normal human would ever make and it feels so forced ugh.

The seatbelt ad I keep seeing in PA is loving stupid too. Huge orange and yellow words flash on the screen describing different stupid ways idiot people might pretend they had their seatbelt on when they get pulled over. Such as literally throwing a goddamn cheeseburger into your face while you're driving for some reason? I don't think it's PA exclusive but it's baaaaaad.

They're running those seatbelt commercials in MD/VA/DC too. They should just run commercials of a spalled windshield with an arrow pointing to it and "Your Face Here!" Way less lame and way more to the point.

They're running it here in TX too, I saw it a few days ago. He does smash the burger on himself fumbling for the seatbelt.

I saw this commercial for Volkswagen with some teenager and his friend after a major wreck in what looked like a Passat. The one teen is all, "MY DAD IS GOING TO KILL ME. THIS IS HIS CAR. HE'S GOING TO KILL ME. I WRECKED HIS CAR. MY DAD IS GOING TO KILL ME." Then, a message pops up on screen that says, "He can only kill you if you're safe. Volkwagen." I know it's just a figure of speech when someone says "HE/SHE/THEY'RE GOING TO KILL ME," but really? All I can think of is his dad literally carrying out the act of filicide on his son. "Oh, son, thank god you're safe! " I also saw this ad for Dove for Men that referred to a man's skin as "manhide." I wanted to punch my TV.

I saw someone bring up 'douche chills' when watching that honda commercial, I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way when watching certain commercials. I love shows like Curb or Peep Show and the whole 'awkward humor' thing but I really have trouble watching commercials with friends. It gets worse with drugs, when my friends and I are smoking watching a ballgame or something when I'm high as poo poo and none of us are talking at the very moment a bad commercial comes on I feel like I want to cringe. I think part of this has to do with my awareness of what they are trying to do or how they do it. I understand this is weird post but seriously drop some acid and watch this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cX4t5-YpHQ Made me feel like those dreams where you show up to school naked in front of your classmates.

I've had my eyes dialted several times in the past for eye exams, and all I did afterwards was have someone drive me home so I could turn off all the lights and put my face under a pillow before falling asleep. Dialeted pupils are a pain in the rear end.

Just really waiting for this "Found Footage" genre of movie to die out, because the trailers are terrible. It never fails that following formula is as follows: -Terrible dialogue between no-name actors. -Some line like "What Happened?", as everything goes silent -Some use of the "Hoover sound" within the trailer, repeatidly within the trailer, till it speeds up, and then stops. -A scream (generally a women's) at the end of said trailer. This would be the most recent example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuV_P70pfoc

There's this car commercial where a bunch of neighbors are meeting each other. One of them asks the other one "So what do you do?" Then there's a bunch of quick flashes of the guys driving around and enjoying life (half of which have nothing to do with his car) then he acts like he doesn't understand the guy's question. It's just so obnoxious.
