I am using it for one 27" and one 24" and it is extremely sturdy/heavy duty. Clamps great and holds the monitors great too once you get it all adjusted. (edit: I was skeptical when I bought it at first, but when I received it and opened it I was very impressed with the build of it) Thom P. Don't forget monoprice.com. I bought 2 mounts similar to these : http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=109&cp_id=10828&cs_id=1082808&p_id=5401&seq=1&format=2 since i didnt want to make holes in my wall and they're amazing. I have them for more than a year now, no issues whatsoever. My monitors are 24'' though, no idea if those would work for larger screens.

niss posted:I would like to get one of the Ergotron adjustable mounts. However I would eventually like to have a triple monitor setup. The only triples I see are basic stands. Would you recommend the dual side by side and then getting another single mount to go with it. Yeah, that is what I would do.

Anybody try the ergotron with a glass desk, or is that just asking for trouble? The desk will be the frosted glass desk for the Ikea Galant.

Granted my dell 20" is a little heavy but I think it's well within the weight limit. It just could never support it and once I had it set, I'd be afraid to sneeze to loudly near it. My issue was with the angle adjustment - it wouldn't be able to support the weight and let the monitor sag down. I didn't worry about it falling off though, just not really being at a usable angle.

I was hoping this thread would give me some inspiration. Instead I just feel bad. The computer is perched on an old narrow not quite kitchen bench in the sunroom. I'm using an old keyboard drawer too. that was okay with the CRT but with the LCD if I were to lean too hard I'd probably launch the thing. What do you do with a computer when there is a horrible lack of space?

I have terrible problems with clutter and keeping useless things close at hand. I've been considering going as far as tracking what I use for a month in order to prioritize my desk space, but I was wondering if anybody knows of a thread, site, or forum that talks about workspaces I could check out as an alternative to that. Nothing makes a Galant feel small like things you feel are important but you use less than once every three weeks.

This is what I used to do and recommend. It helps spread out the force, and you don't have to worry about the clap possibly chipping or biting into the glass.

Hole in the wall is from me backing up in my chair and my foot slipping and hitting the wall. Coke pillow is an arm cushion while using the mouse. Wiimote there for Wii games on Dolphin. Small speakers are for Wii games while headphones are used for PC gaming. Groucho and Mr. Bill protect my domain while I am away. Also, what is cable management again? I plan to go to Fry's and get some zip-ties and stuff and see what I can do about it though.

Home depot has these multi-packs of 6" long stuff, it's a bit expensive for what it looks like, but sooo much better than dealing with zip ties. Zip ties are great for things that you never add to until you remove them (think computer lab installs), terrible for the average home office/desk that you add/remove components to from time to time.

A 50 pack of 6 inch ties should do the majority of your stuff. $6.33. Also, I ended up buying an Ergotron LX side-by-side mount. It's pretty awesome, and gives me way more room on my desk to put my speaker amp and such under it. It also looks pretty boss.

Seconding this. I've seen Velcro ties in the hardware area at Walmart also.

Tips for managing cables is velcro straps you cna buy form home depot or loewes for cheap.
