sorry i dont know if we got a thread for startup culture and its people so this is going here

No one at an ordinary McDonald's would even notice such a device. Ergo this was not an ordinary McDonald's, but one with security people looking for cameras. Why would a McDonald's have security people looking for cameras? Possibly because it was a mafia front. If you wanted to launder money, a fast food restaurant in a popular location would be a good place to do it.

The way the employees behaved is consistent with this explanation.

Edit: I should have said no more than that the excessive reaction of the security people suggests there may be something dubious happening at this McDonald's that they don't want filmed. But there are other less dramatic things they might be doing besides money laundering: using undocumented labor, for example.

Ed, Edd n Eddy is an animated television series created by Danny Antonucci and produced by Canada-based a.k.a. Cartoon. It premiered on Cartoon Network on January 4, 1999, and ended on November 8, 2009 with the premiere of the series' TV movie finale, Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show. Designed to resemble classic cartoons from the 1940s to the 1970s, the series revolves around three adolescent boys known as "the Eds", who constantly invent schemes to make money from their peers to purchase jawbreakers. Their plans usually fail, leaving them in various predicaments. Before signing a contract with Cartoon Network, Antonucci approached Nickelodeon, but the channel demanded creative control of the show, which Antonucci did not agree to. Several specials, shorts, and video games either based on the series or featuring the series' characters have been produced. Viewed from 31 million households in 29 countries by both children and adults, Ed, Edd n Eddy received positive reviews and several awards and nominations. It remains the longest-running original Cartoon Network series and Canadian-made animated series to date. (more...)

it's kind of a subdued metallic taste? like imagine when you're tasting you own blood but it's like 5x less intense than that

i didn't say it was ew yucky gross, just i don't really see why "faintly metallic" is specifically desirable. does it go with anything? i wouldn't call metallic a *good* flavor

and the first thing i asked was "is it just for color" so

i have eaten this and it wasn't terrible: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C3%A1karl but i gotta say the idea of worms leaping out of my sandwich is p. disturbing to me

yeah bad example i just meant that making your food hot is not a substitute for making it taste good and lots of white people just pour red hot on everything instead of trying to, you know, make food that tastes good and is spicy too
