This game actually looks pretty good.

I was always terrible at Extreme Sports games, so watching you easily beat these is pretty impressive.

Would you say this game is easier then the Tony Hawk Series, or not?

Relax, boi, y'still have an audience! :)

Anyways, never really played most of the spinoff XTREME sports titles by Activision, but one stuck out in my mind because it hates me and wants me to die. Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX. Balancing in Tony Hawk? Nooo problem. Shaun White? Sure, that doesn't seem too hard...

Matt loving Hoffman's Pro loving BMX? Hope you're a living spirt level, mofo!

Anyways, this is a roundabout way of saying I'll be watching. :D

I played the Dave Mirra games instead of those, which had a bit different of a goal progression than Matt Hoffman. Looking at gameplay of the first one Matt Hoffman game, that is even more of a Tony Hawk reskin that Shaun Palmer.

While I did go on sort of a tangent in the previous level, I have played these levels a dozen of times before recording each, so things look easier. I only say it because it's possibly true, but I may be the best SPPS player in the world :stonk:

That was worth a laugh! :xd:

And wow, like Ineffable so eloquently put it that was quite a jump. That's a good set piece for this level. I feel like even if they had to use all of Tony Hawk's mechanics if the game had better level design with more moments like that it could have stood on its own better. You made some good level-analysis comments too, getting on top of that house for the 3rd logo seems like it could have been much cooler if they had done more with that area.

Only 3 levels left to go? It's a shame this looks like it doesn't come with a level designer like the Tony Hawk series, that could have added a lot to the game as well.

There is, in fact. You have to get all 72 sponsors with 4 or 5 characters first though.

Just chiming in to say I'm really enjoying this, your commentary is very dry but it suits the game quite well and it's a good LP to put on if you just want to relax for 10 minutes. Keep at it, I think you've found a solid rhythm for your videos now.

Well there is a super spin cheat as well so i guess it's time to just figure out what the limit is :haw:

EDIT: Well with half gravity and super spins on, I still didn't reach the limit. I got up to a 4860. That's 13 and a half full spins. There are some equal or bigger jumps later on in the last level, maybe then I'll try again.

If you were considering doing a bonus update after the main run is done, showing off the cheats to get the biggest jumps and longest grinds and the like would be cool to see.

Laughed at the "Pro Skater?" gap! At least they're honest. :xd:

The Siberian Air jump was cool, it would have been good for more levels to have features like that. Despite all being very linear it seems like the levels are fairly large, at least big enough where they can put things like that away from everything else. Looking forward to seeing what the last level is like.

It's a shame the game doesn't allow you to customize more things, like character movesets. You have used special tricks very well throughout the game, especially getting a ton of points off of huge jumps. Do any of the other characters have any specials that really stand out? In the Tony Hawk franchise special moves started out as real tricks but got more and more ridiculous as the series went on.

A few of them reach pull-a-foot-off-the-board levels of over the top, but none even come close to some of the stuff pulled in the SSX series. Most of the flip specials are like our character's, two or so moves combined into one special. Most of the grabs are a bit larger than life, but not that much.

Hi. Your head's on fire.

Good videos otherwise. I'm actually interested in this game I never really noticed.

I can't believe you didn't get shot by the cannon. It seriously looked like you were going to. In that the angle the cannon shot at looked disturbingly like where the player was in the air.

I dunno, just looked weird to me.

Also I'm going to reinterate these massive scores you get are leaving me dumbstruck. 10,000 points was usually an awesome trick for me in Tony Hawk. You got 300,000 at once.

And that 'Hold up to leave a halfpipe' thing is like, in every game and I still never realized it until like, 5 hours into each one.

Well, like you it took me waaay too long to figure out how to bonk things correctly, so those goals were tricky to do at first. But the goals in Mt. Hood, I think the only way to find the 'clear the road' and 'cut the power' is to keep replaying the level. 'Cut the power' is easy enough to find after you drop the billboard, but that traffic one is pretty obtuse. To be honest, I could remember how to do all the level goals up until these two, and the next level's. (But that's because I don't remember what the goals are off the top of my head)

 Well, this is a bit slower paced than a Tony Hawk game, so I have more time to react. Seriously, speed these videos up by a fourth or by half, and then it's like a Tony Hawk game.

For the last level, there's a man, a bridge, and a train. Maybe that will jog your mind. If it doesn't, just wait a day or two.

Also, :hellyeah: just got a HAUL of games for this series from my local used game store... 5 games for 30 bucks. This isn't the worst of hobbies. Also, that means that maybe after the next game, you guys can vote on the third game. That really brings people in to post.

And with that, it's one game down, more to go. I recorded this right after I did level 7, so the mic may still be a bit messy.
