Ya it looks like the different eras. The first his beginning, the death of Gwen, black suit, clone saga, and current member of Avengers. Note 50 years 5 covers.

Agreed. I think that one is my favourite.

Kind of amusing that they are showing the major events in Spidey's life there and they leave out One More Day.

What I find funny is that these covers aren't necessarily appealing because they're technically good but instead they're very pleasing and minimal in design. Comic book covers are still garishly designed pieces with a bunch of flexing people grimacing at you but these are very subdued, single tone covers drawn in a crisp, clear style. Nothing has been touched by an airbrush, amazing!

Farel Dalrymple was the artist on the Omega the Unknown reboot and I picked up the series based on the covers alone.

They were so opposite of typical Big Two covers that I couldn't ignore it.

If you're interested it definitely is. Omega has a very odd touch to even the normal parts that I remember from his books (haven't read Fortress tho).

Lethem goes on a few experiments, one issue is almost entirely silent, another is narrated by a singing sculpture, but it all flows along with an oddly touching and interesting story.

Grab the trade, then. It's a really odd mini-series that begins with a mysterious superhero tied to a kid prodigy trying to stop robots from taking over the world or something but the plot takes a complete u-turn around issue 3 and I can't even describe it without spoiling things. It's definitely a great story that's absurd, humorous, and dramatic but it's never pretentious or full of itself like some experimental stories.

God drat there's a title I never thought I'd see again. I had (maybe still have?) a few of the original issues from decades ago and I thought they were a confusing mess, but I guess the new version is worth reading so good for you, Omega.

It's funnier to assume he actually threw the bullet with enough force to destroy a RHIB boat?

I hate Batman so much when he's paired with other supes. He's always written as a boring badass that can overpower gods with little to no effort.

Maybe - it looks like those two goons are actually staring at the bullet in shock, as if its moving slow enough for them to do a double-take at the bullet before it hits.

Her character designs are gorgeous. I like her manga aesthetics translate to great physiques and faces yet her eyes are intense and large like a hawk's. They're not large and doe like a typical anime character. And she has great range, too. Just look at her vistas
