I have both and I actually prefer the Harrier to the Indra (both at I) for my destroyer, but I have no idea if that's the pro DPS optimal strategy.

The main consideration between the two for me is entirely strategy based. If you can afford to chain yourself near ammo crates, the Harrier is superior. If you play a more mobile style, you'll probably be happier with the Indra since it has a much larger ammo reserve, especially with the 90% spare ammo increase module. The Harrier's ammo mod only increases clip capacity, not total rounds available. With the Harrier, I run ext barrel and piercing; with the Indra I run ammo and barrel with AP ammo consumable. It more or less gives you a slightly less powerful per shot Harrier with 400 rounds and a scope while retaining the AP properties.

That being said, I generally only use the Indra on Bronze/Silver matches because on Gold/Plat cover and camping are preferable strategies for most classes, and this benefits the Harrier more since you'll likely be near ammo crates.

The Harrier on a Destroyer with mag size on DM and an extended mag mod gets 40+ rounds, but I still can't justify giving up some kind of grenade gear to use a Harrier on him.

Something stupid from the Bioware forum that may be worth giving a shot. Basically, Human Adept specced for melee damage supposedly 2-shotting (Gold) Brutes by a couple accounts. OP says something to the effect of taking 5 bars off Banshees' barriers, but not armor. Current theory on page 4 or so is that HA heavy melee counts as a power (can be blocked by Banshee hand shield?) and may have some kind of multipliers. No video proof, possibly all bullshit. I can't keep up with the math. Still, could be a fun waste of a Gold match.

If nothing else, I feel bad for barely giving HA a shot, since I thought HA had the same melee as Drell Adepts :downs:

I just tried it, and yeah, that works. I didn't use a strength consumable, but a warp plus 2 heavy melees left a Gold Brute with 1 bar of armour.

It's still not very good. The range is very short, it doesn't go through walls at all, it's a bit slow to come out, and it's slow to finish. Brutes and Husks are basically the only enemies I can imagine wanting to use it on, rather than setting up a combo.

Even just against a single Cannibal in melee range, dropping a singularity is better: the Cannibal can strip your shields in the time it takes before the melee actually hits. It also has a lot of force, so like Lash, you're risking the enemy flying off somewhere without it actually dying.

I'm amazed at how many bugs I'm still finding. When extraction started in my last game I suddenly began rocketing forward at hilariously high speeds as N7 Destroyer with devastator mode on. I shouted OH GOD I'M RUNNING REALLY FAST as is the only proper reaction to suddenly running really fast, and then everybody says to suicide as fast as you can because apparently that's a common thing that can happen, and 30-60 seconds later you'll crash every time.

I don't even know how you go about creating a bug that always proceeds from loving with your speed to crashing in sequence. But that's something new I learned today.

Man I hardly used the Kishok since it came out but yesterday I gave it a shot and discovered that it is great. With a bit of equipment help you can kill say a Hunter on gold with a single headshot. It's a bit temperamental, sometimes hit registration seems a bit funny. I like to put in on my Batarian Sentinel for net and harpoon, whalers-on-the-moon type action.

I adore the Kishock, but I'm awful with it, in no small part because of those hit detection issues. In larger part because I'm terrible at gauging how long it'll take to actually reach the target, so even if my aim was right, my timing often isn't. The same thing happens with the Graal. I'm just really bad with projectile weapons over hitscan.

I've done a drell adept melee build, and while you definitely can do more damage than the human, even on bronze you're still glass and wind up dead a lot more often. Plus the DA is one of my favorite classes to use on gold and I need the non-melee build to stay alive there.

These days it's fairly light, often I use it on casters. The damage isn't fantastic but it staggers well and is a good way of distributing ammo power effects. It takes quite a bit of practice to get used to, if you're having trouble sticking enemies try aiming at the floor, the projectiles will explode on proximity.

I hear people rag on N7 Fury all the drat time, but I just watched my brother go Gold on that snowy Cerberus base with another Fury, a Krogan Vanguard, and one Human Adept.

The kicker is that they didn't even do much biotic detonations, they just spammed Reave and Biotic Slash, and they were only downed (and revived) once.

JackMackeral, you mean the Slayer?

So I have both of the Vorcha and I love the sentinel, but is there a way to make the soldier as good? They appear to be the same but the soldier has carnage instead of grenades, which is a horrible trade off, especially since the Vorcha work well with really heavy weapons that would make the cool down really long.

I also just recently got the Cerberus Vanguard and the Batarian Sentinel, and they are both pretty fun even though I thought I wouldn't enjoy them much.

I know I shouldn't complain about the RNG since I've unlocked all the N7 classes already, but seriously I'm still missing stuff like the Quarian and Geth Engineer, Asari Adept(both of them!) and Salarian Infiltrator, while I've gotten nearly all the cards for the Slayer. I did get an acolyte though today, so I'm happy about that. And people who haven't been getting gear, like half of all gold cards I get are gear, it would be cool if there weren't still so many weapons I don't have.

I've had that happen as well actually, though I'm not entirely sure on which class it was (I think it was an Asari Justicair?). And even though I had it from wave 2 until extraction, I didn't crash at all and it made the 2 delivery objectives we got incredibly easy. :)

I think the Geth Engineer is my favorite class. Overload rules, and I think it also has the best Turret. I completely spec out of Hunter Mode. Having full health and shields is so much better for me than the minor advantages of Hunter Mode.

I used to use the traditional Geth Plasma Shotgun with him and it was fine. But I switched it over to the Rifle, applied a Disruptor ammo mod, and it was incredible.

I duo'd a Gold game to Extraction with a Krogan Battlemaster. There were Bursts all over the place.

Put 0 points into Carnage, spec the Flamer for damage and damage vs armor. Reegar Carbine as your weapon, use that to melt shields/barriers, then flame armor. Everyone melts.

Not so great against Geth in my experience, but it destroys Brutes and Ravagers plus you're completely unkillable vs Banshees and it's also great vs Phantoms as they'll burn up while standing there with the shield up/running away.

The main reason I used the Tempest was because it was easy to get and I didn't want my build to depend on having particular rare guns. You basically only need two things from your gun: +200% cooldown and the abilty to spray bullets at close range. The Hurricane should do nicely, you may need ultralight materials to get to 200% though. ULM will only work on the Hurricane if you also have a pistol with ULM equiped.

You mostly use your gun for Guardians and finishing off enemies that are too low on health to be worth wasting barrier on.
