Okay, using a Power Damage IV consumable makes me feel like a badass while playing the Slayer. Maybe that's what I've been missing all along? That makes Phase Disruptor actually hardcore!

I've only got 41/75 silver gear upgrades (missing Shield Booster and Multicapacitor entirely), and 52/70 gold gear upgrades (still somehow missing Juggernaut Shield entirely despite having half of the bloody things maxed), but does it want to give me any of the remaining ones? No.

Yeah the gear drops are really weird. What I don't get is why it sometimes decides "today you are maxing this gear" and drops three or four in a row. Nothing else - same gear over and over, across several purchases after different rounds. Also has anyone at Bioware noticed the +% one gun/+% different gun, like Combatives for AR/Pistol are all useless? because those top out at 10%/10% or I could take Densified Ammunition which tops out at 12% and is universal.

The new operation for the weekend has been announced: Operation: VIGILANCE (September 7th-9th) Unexpected attacks have taken out several squads and damaged vital Alliance equipment. We will deploy drones to repair damage and investigate the nature of these attacks. Individual Goal: Complete up to and including wave 10 on any difficulty without using a consumable (medi-gel, ammo, Ops pack or Cobra missile launcher). Allied Goal: Complete 250,000 escort missions on any difficulty. Special Circumstance: None Individual Goal Success: All individual players awarded a Commendation Pack Allied Goal Success: All players awarded a Victory Pack

Doesn't sound too bad since you can just Bronze it. What a strange Indivudual goal to have though. And it sucks that NO ONE can use consumables for it, either. Are they gonna up the rate of escort missions for the weekend or what?

Set it to Not Reapers and I figure it won't take too long. Actually with the new buffs to Turians and Batarians - 1425 shields(!) I might do Batarian Sentinel or Turian Soldier. It's gonna take a long as hell time for bronze enemies to chew through that many shields. for comedy's sake I'm gonna use level III consumables too

Wait, so what happens if an ally uses a consumable in the battle? Do you still count as individually not using a consumable? I don't know if I'm confident enough to solo bronze without at least one med-gel. In any case, I won't get the chance to play much on Friday since I'm getting married on Saturday (seriously), so I'll have to give my one or two shots my best, which is probably my Turian sentinel.

This would work if there was any indication if you succeeded at a weekend Objective. As is, there's no way to know unless you specifically play with a group or solo it. Whatever. Krogan Vanguard time.

That's one mis-timed reload cancel away from a ruined squad objective. Soloing even on Bronze with no consumables allowed is going to be pretty tough, I guess a Bronze/Geth/Glacier with a Slayer could be doable but I'll probably want to get together with some goons for this one, since there's no way to know if a random pubbie popped an Ops Pack or Thermal Clip on the other side of the map.

That's why most people will probably solo Bronze just to get it out of the way.

Yeah, this seems like a good thing to duo rather than solo. If you make a mistake soloing, you've got to start all over, but with a second person that you know well, you've got a good shot at being picked up and carrying on.

Playing a vorcha on bronze would probably work well. With full regen from bloodlust you are literally invincible as long as you keep killing stuff.

I intend on using an ops survival during extraction. Since it makes a sound effect, people will know SOMEONE used a consumable but won't quite be able to place who.

If it does indeed signal a new enemy type, it'll probably be mercs, followed shortly by "Take Back Omega" single-player DLC.
