How do you possibly look at that and see a fish?!

I can kinda ee it. The yellow part is the one eyed fish. The white could be a fish egg? I dunno.

It's in profile, the right eye is an eye and the left eye is its mouth. The mouth is a neck wrinkle, I guess.

It has to be one of those Super Mario fish with the giant clown lips for it to work.

It's more like three-quarters view, the big suction-cup fish mouth pointing to the upper left. The smaller eye is behind it, looking kind of shell-shocked. (So I guess it works if you see it as a face or as a fish.) The mouth could be a neck-wrinkle or even some delineation of the tail.

You people are nuts. That does not look like a fish. If the big eye is the mouth, then the mouth is on his butt. This poo poo is hosed up.

I don't see any butt in this picture. If anything, the butt is behind everything. Maybe this fish is half squished and looking up at you like "Please don't step on me."

Hell, I only saw the fish when Groghammer mentioned the possibility, but I can see it, easy.

I took the liberty. It wasn't that hard to see for me but I was curious how fish-like I could make it while still keeping the same general features.

I really have no idea how you saw a fish before a face though...

Probably the fact that almost all news posted is just depressing event after depressing event, with a random happy story or Photoshop thread thrown in.

Nope, I've always seen it as a wonky face, but I kinda understood the fish-view once the person who originally mis-saw it (is that a word?) pointed it out. I decided to try and nip the "OMG how do you not totally see what I see" derail in the bud by making a handy mspaint. Which didn't entirely work but there you go.

I am still loving wondering what :pwm: is. Does anyone know?

I think I remember seeing it on the forums, but it's not there now. Was it one of the emotes that BYOB voted to delete?

Also what is :fyadride: referring to?

Yeah, but I'm preeeetty sure that the original Smith comic (haven't read it in a long time, depressing) has moments of happiness and then ends painfully sadly. So, the latter.

That's an offshoot of :slick:. The original version was called danceman.gif and was bigger:. It was too big to upload as a smilie and the thread was about getting it down to the right size. I don't think the thread was from BYOB. After the guy who made it posted it, people started making versions based off of other smilies. I remember forkbanger did a lot of work in that thread. Also, I think :slick: the smilie that we have now wasn't bought in that thread but later, only a few years ago, after someone found that thread.

Here are some of the variations I have saved. There are many, many more. That was one of the first threads I remember reading.

I opened the gif in an image editor and the happy frames are first and it animates to sad and then loops back around. It's nitpicky but that's what the guy asked.
