I hear they're still eating paper. Is that true?
I used to just number them with random numbers till I unlocked my first Geth who was 01000111 01100101 01110100 01101000 01111001 for Gethy. Then I started naming them stupid names that stuck in my head. Pete the Vorcha, the Krogan are named after ex-girlfriends. Not that I'm bitter or anything, oh no.

Speaking of which, I wish you could remap your powers. Since I tend to swap classes a lot, I often mess up my power use in the first few rounds, especially if there's a power (like, say, Energy Drain) that's on a different key per class. :downs:

I just really wish other players could see the names in multiplayer. Imagine being revived by Seamus the Salarian or Desmond the Drell. I am kinda losing interest in the game because of the stupidly difficult weekend tasks they set. I mean.. we were never going to be able to get that many drone missions done.

The biggest pain in the rear end on xbox is being shot at and trying to jump launch yourself through a doorway and you take cover in the doorway instead, in plain view of the enemy who is firing at you. Idiotic design flaw!

Yes.
I usually like to come up with reasonable names for characters, but ME3 multiplayer is silly enough that I just won't bother, so I usually just go the silly route. Or whimsical, at least. Started a new BatSent a while back, named him Fistgerald.

Would really be nice to see other players' character names. Even better if they showed up in the killfeed, so you could name your guys after enemies to confuse pubbies.

Poor Pete, he was always the scrawniest of the bunch with a much smaller hump than the cool guys.... but goddamn if he didn't have a nasty attitude, and just refused to loving die, too. So in time, the other Krogan started calling him "The Vorcha".

I spent a few hours playing with this Turian Sentinel build, using the Indra:

http://narida.pytalhost.com/me3/classes/#31OQPFFf0@0@A@@@0@0@0@0

So far so good. I seem to be priming a lot more tech bursts with the changes to overload. It's not going to rack up some of the high scores other classes will, but it's a very well balanced class, with a good amount of health/shields and a plan for every situation (although the plan for phantoms is still 'run').

The health/shields are definitely a must have for me. It always seems to take me way too long to figure out 'who the hell is shooting at me'. I unlocked the Geth Infiltrator yesterday, but I just don't have the skill/finesse to use him right.

They indeed do a RIDICULOUS amount of damage, but I just can't keep the poor guy alive. Oh well.

On a related note, is it just me, or do enemies seem to spot cloaked characters a lot more than they used to? Is there a big difference between bronze and silver in this respect?

I like the turians but a lack of dodge really hurts. If you get unlucky with an atlas rocket or a brute flanks you and charges, you cant really do anything but stand there and take it. Krogans are the same of course, but are a fair bit more meaty so normally you can get away without taking a lot of damage.

As for character name chat, I normally just use a random name which starts with the first letter of the chracter; like Alice asari, Terry turian, Kenny krogan Sammy salarian etc. I also have a drell adept named Keanu Reaves and a justicar named Bubble Butt. Neither are very original though.

I know that technically, a 6/6/6/4/4 Turian Sentinel build is better because warp is such a good power, I love going 6/0/6/6/6 and using him as a overload specialist weapons platform. Overload absolutely murders enemy shields, and then stuns non shielded targets. Specced for damage, neural shock, and shield damage and with tech armor, a single overload will drain shields completely from anything short of a boss on gold, plus plenty of tech bursting potential. I use my Turian Sentinel in a game where there is another tech caster, but if the party swings more to biotics, I'll whip out my AJ.

With the recent buffs to Turian Fitness, Turians have gotten seriously beefy. 1450 shields and 950 hp with full fitness, plus 40% dr on tech armor. Turians are also a fair bit faster, so it's a little easier to sprint over to some cover.

Yeah, I do the same. My Geth Engineer and my Turian Sentinel are my tech bursting masters. Overload can really mess up the enemies. I have tons of other better characters for 'splodin' biotics.

Also, I just unlocked the Harrier, and holy god does it kill things quickly. Even on Gold, it's just a matter of popping out of cover for a half second and aim in the vague direction of something's head and they just drop.

It's pretty cool, and now I really want a hurricane so I can have that kind of damage without the cooldown penalty. I know the recoil is kinda crazy, but being able to dish out that kinda weapon damage and maintain 180-200% would be super cool.

Having gotten both of them recently myself, don't expect to get the same kind of damage output from the Hurricane at anything other than point-blank range. Even then the Harrier is probably superior.

How about a Crusader V? :smug:

After I got it and tried it out with my Kroguard, I was really impressed with the Damage output at extremely close range. Basically no mook would still be alive after I hit them, and most mid-tier guys with shields would lose them after 1 shot, but would still have health.

The Hurricane at level V is pretty good too, but still has kick issues.

Not particularly excited about my pack when I get home, because I know its gonna be an Eagle II. I've been getting lucky with the Promo weapon RNG for way too long not to get another one now.

Crusader V...just give me a drat Harrier already :supaburn: I'd gladly give a few levels off the Crusader or my Piranha VIII for it.

I hope they announce new DLC with an interesting hook to it soon, preferably a new enemy class. I love the MP but it is getting a bit stale with only 3 different enemy classes after all this time. Couple that with the increasing difficult in finding good Gold games that aren't W/G/G, it might be about time to trade it in unless Bioware can give the MP a much-needed jolt of energy.

I still really enjoy the multiplayer, because I only play a couple games a week. But I do think it needs expanding. The new classes/weapons are nice, but there needs to be either new game modes or new enemies, or both. Husk death mode would be grand, as would Collectors/Mercs/whatever to fight.

So the Crusader did fairly awesome when I slapped a bunch of stuff on it with my Geth Infiltrator. Shotgun Amps, Incendiary Ammos and the like.

How do you guys usually mod it and what gear do you use with it? First time I tried it, I was running out of ammo constantly, so I slapped my spare ammo gear and the thermal clip mod on it, but I was noticing what felt like a loss of accuracy. So I might go High Caliber Barrel/Smart Choke or Shredder/Smart Choke.

It has innate armour piercing and is accurate as gently caress. You need neither a Smart Choke nor a Shredder. Go High Calibre Barrel and either bayonet or ammo, depending on what you're playing.

This. The lack of accuracy is because you have to get used to it. Because it is so accurate, you will miss if you aren't dead on with your shots. A lot of the other weapons forgive you for being inaccurate.

ALSO:

Let me tell you a tale about Bioware, and how they are bad devs who write atrocious netcode. I was in a platinum game just now and this justicar somehow desynced on wave 10. Thanks to the way the game handles a player desyncing he was instantly teleported to spawn. He didnt float off but he couldnt move or use powers. Every time he went down he was automatically rezzed over and over. The rest of us wiped in short order and the poor guy ended up with 2 banshees, 2 primes, 2 ravagers and a phantom contantly railing on him until the timer ran out and he was finally allowed to die.

Despite this mishap we got the money for waves 3/6 and with the proceeds I got this.
