I just can't imagine a diff on anything stock-or-lifted where you can't get a bottle of gear lube with a hose stuck on the end at the right angle to fill it up, but you can pop a cover off and throw in some ziplocs full of oil.

So, I stumbled across the Psiclops today - looks like it's a gauge that you hook up to two tires to balance them, and then fill/bleed both as a pair.

Anyone got one of these? The price is certainly right assuming that the gauge is any more accurate than the $3 Harbor Freight piece of poo poo, and it would make topping off tires a good bit quicker, especially when using a gas station pump.

That's not an oil leak. That's the automatic oil change and chassis protection feature.

Two of the guys in my Autox class have something like this that they use after every run. Since they run BMWs, I'm going to assume they shelled out for something better than HF...

There is only so much air that a gas station pump will put out--and the single valve stem is not the limiting factor. This looks gimmicky to me, I don't see why this would be more accurate than a HF gauge.

Maybe I'm spoiled but the gas station I frequent (Sheetz) has one of these:

Set the pressure and fill your tire, it pumps air until the selected pressure is reached and then shuts off and beeps at you. That thing seems like more of a solution in search of a problem, I can't really think of a situation where you'd save time pumping air after hooking up the lines to both tires.

The Sheetz pumps are the best pumps, especially when the other stations around charge for air.

This month's normal mailer (the one you get by filling out the postcard in-store, not the one you have to pay for an inside track membership to get) has a coupon for this jack at $69.99,

but I like the 2.5 ton low profile one better for $5 bucks more with no coupon.

I've been to HF twice this week for poly abrasive wheels, and both times they let me keep my coupon. Woo, save a tree.

This poo poo right here is the best thing I have ever found for stipping a car clean of old paint and rust. Problem is, they only last about an hour or so. I've gone through 4 of them at this point and still have 1 door, front quarter panels and front apron left. I'm guessing it'll take me 1 per fender also. But the amount of time it saves, and the ease of use compared to sanding is well worth it.

Also, parking lot sale starts tomorrow!

Anyone used this thing before? http://www.harborfreight.com/high-volume-low-pressure-spray-gun-kit-44677.html I've read a couple threads on samba of people using it to paint their cars. I just don't have a big enough air compressor, and I'm only going flat black, so I figure it's worth a try.

1 - I don't trust any heavy tools from HF with wood handles ever since I broke the handle off a carpenters hammer by throwing it - head first - at the floor. The handle never touched anything, only the head, which broke off.
2 - you want a splitting maul, not an axe. Axes are for cutting, splitting mauls are for splitting. An axe will just get stuck and require you to either pound it through or pry it out and use a splitting wedge while a maul will split the wood much quicker.

I don't know if you have a Menards near you, but there is a splitting maul with a metal handle that I purchased there. Keep it sharp and it splits logs like butter.

Axes are useless for splitting. Also invest in a nice sledge as well, I have a 10lbs with a fiberglass handle. You would be surprised as to how much you use it.

I have felled trees with that axe, it's pretty solid. And yeah, it makes your arms buff/sore as all hell. That reminds me, I need to chop down some more trees, I'm getting a bit flabby in the biceps.

Edit: and the axe chips make good kindling if you're chopping firewood. Sawzall is kinda weak for logs bigger than your wrist, either man up and use an axe or wedges and sledge or get a chainsaw.

I picked up a 12" electric chainsaw mounted on a 10' extendible pole a few years back. It's awesome. The chainsaw can be easily dismounted from the pole and used for a light chainsaw for cutting up smaller logs. I've got a much more powerful 2-stroke my dad gave me that I have yet to actually start up because I simply have not had reason to cut up anything large enough to be worth the effort vs the 12".

The pole has a plastic fitting that clamps into the handle and holds the trigger "on", so you can use the trigger on the pole when used as a polesaw. Or, you can undo a wing nut and use it like a normal small chainsaw. I usually leave it on the pole, even for branches I can reach, as it's nice to be able to cut poo poo without having to worry about it falling on you. I take it off for cutting up firewood on the ground.

The only cars i'll be jacking up are an impreza and a camry so i don't need a real beefy jack, I'll be carrying it in and out of the house because i don't have a garage so i wanted something that was light-weightish, and it probably won't get used a whole hell of a lot since the primary reason for buying them is to do oil changes on two daily drivers.

I don't have any local harbor freights, and i know their stuff probably won't last that long under abuse, but will this stuff be a good buy for my application?

I have a set of Harbor Freight stands and the same jack you are listing. I mainly use the jack for my miata but I have used it on my xterra(~4000 lbs) with no problems other than the lifting height.

The jack stands are fine and I'm very pleased with the jack. It works very well and gives me more control over lowering than my big old craftsman 3 ton does.

Buy Milton products. I've got 20+ fittings, and not a one leaks. I went with Milton "V" series, they flow way more air than normal fittings, and you can still use generic Industrial male fittings on tools you don't need high-flow on.

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28617

Plus, they prevent people from borrowing your tools and having them work.

I got mine from Northern the first time (shipping was wicked $$ for like 5 fittings), and MarkingPenDepot (I know...) the second time because they had more selection... shipping still sucked.
