So lately, I haven't really done much with Dungeon Magic, but instead been taking a break to work on... another project.

(CAUTION: may be a little loud for those that usually have their sound settings turned up, still playing around with recording settings.)

Well, tonight I hit a milestone in just the short time I've been playing it. Still a lot to improve on, namely with some mistakes in stages 1 and 6. Sub 8:10 is a definite possibility, perhaps even more depending on how the RNG decides to treat me.

k1rua's back at it with a promising run so far. It's too bad there are so many RNG things that can go wrong late in the run, though.

Edit 2: Only one hand level in World 8, too.

54:02. If he gets zero hands in World 8 that's an easy WR (which is like 53:50).

In other news, as I believe has been mentioned here before, #smw members are putting together a marathon to take place on Nov. 2-4 with the goal of raising money to help the members offset their travel costs to AGDQ. Several SA members and regular participants in this thread (Peaches, usedpizza, duckfist, Funkdoc) have runs scheduled for the marathon, as do many of the other most popular and/or well-known speedrunners (dram, Cosmo, feasel, PJ, etc.) The reason I'm mentioning all this again is that they've put together a handy website that will have the stream and chat embedded along with a handy schedule and list of donation incentives/bidding wars. Sorry it took so long, but I finally finished archiving all of the Shark Stream 2012: Sea Wizards speedrun/art marathon. Even if you loaded a state every two seconds, it would take 46 full days to do that many rerecords. There must have been a ton of manhours that went into that TAS.

The Yoshi's Island 100% TAS is a thing, http://twitch.tv/carlsagan42 is working on it. Lately he has been streaming him creating the TAS, if you're into that kind of stuff (he's also a complete beast at running the game normally, too.) He's aiming to have it done by the end of the year and it will be Good poo poo.
