Seems to be a bit of a throwback to the tagline for the original Evil Dead, "The Ultimate Experience In Grueling Terror."

The Social Network tagline parody fun time: You don't kill all your friends without losing a few limbs in the process That poster would be a lot better if the tagline was sized/placed better. The logo IS pretty awesome.

I really like these for a couple reasons. The C-3PO outline has an old-school sci-fi feel to it. His eyes remind me of Metropolis or something. Empire is so 70s it kills I love it. Jedi is great because I never considered the green being iconic to that film and then when I look at it I really do remember all the good things about Endor.

They're probably as perfect as a set of Star Wars posters can get. Just the right balance between aesthetics and film references. I really like the character outlines too and details like the twin suns for C-3PO's eyes are really neat. Star Wars isn't high art and these posters are have just the right amount of class (plus it doesn't say 'a new hope', which makes the angry nerd in me happy).

They work because, even if you haven't seen Star Wars before, you have an evocative sci-fi landscape and a classic robot silhouette. It's not an in-joke. (And the 'evocative' part can't be stressed enough.)

Also it took me a second to realize that C3PO's eyes were the twin moons of Tatooine which then made me like it even more.
