Some friends of mine who also work at CERN decided that the lab makes for an excellent film set. He is only on board as a director in this and imo as well as what I've seen of people's general opinions, he is actually a pretty decent director. It looks like it might have a decent focus on a moral struggle, which is really how you make a good Superman story.
