I defer to your collective knowledge to help me out, because as someone who doesn't usually listen to this sort of stuff, I'm completely lost when it comes to where to start looking. In my searches, I've come across quite a few songs that I like, but very, very few of them are connected to albums. At best, you'll find them on compilation albums which can often be a bit spotty in quality (stuff like Valerie and Friends, which ranges from the fantastic to the forgettable), and at worst you find EPs which are usually just one song with a few remixes by other artists that usually don't hit the mark. I've never come across a genre of music so scattered in terms of methods of distribution. Is the album dead, or something? How the gently caress does anyone get any decent exposure?
