We are in Hawaii for the holidays, and one day my mom and I took a walk down to an oceanside park. Once we got there, we saw a little stray cat hanging around off the side of the road. We coaxed him over with some chicken bits we had. hello there it's all right, we have treats snarf then these guys showed up across the street here you can have treats too yum but then this guy came out of the trees... but we were all out of treats! ... just then a car pulled up, and even more cats came out. they knew what time it was. trrrreat time mothafucka! We talked to the cat lady for a little bit. she and some other people bring the kitties food all the time. she told us that they catch the cats and bring them in to get neutered, and then they get an ear tagged. left ear means male, right ear means female. we gave her some cat food money. here are some more just hangin' around the park having some salad Merry Christmas hawaii cat park and yospos!

it is sad that they have to live out there. the lady said that people will just abandon cats at the park. at least it's warm though

I lived in Hawaii for 6 years, and actually, between the cats, rats, and mongoose, the native bird population of Hawaii is really hosed. my co worker's little boy Jack loves Dexter and Lulu (especially Dexter). Jack also loves Adventure Time. Here's Jack's Christmas Card.

went back to cat beach this afternoon, and saw a gigantic orange cat perched up in a tree like sher khan. he is clearly NOT related to the skinny little brown tabbies running around here, so he must be one of the abandoned housecats he was loud as poo poo and all the other cats seemed a little afraid of him all the cats i saw down there had an ear clipped, so at least the people here are doing a good job trying to keep them from multiplying. bonus supper time again:

I'm pretty sure that a) he'd be over the 40 lb. weight limit imposed by the airline and b) i wouldn't survive the attempt I carefully gave him a few light pets, and each time i got a warning meow. Not to the point of a growl, but more of a "watch it" kind of meow. Cat wasn't going anywhere.

I mean, if you see a cat with a coat of floof that magnificent in the wild, I can't imagine they're starving or anything. Edit: Sucks that somebody would abandon such a pretty cat though.
