If you're open to some constructive criticism, I'd suggest using less "I think", instead opting for "it seems", "I believe" or anything along the lines of "reports/videos/images/this seem(s) to be indicating", etc. to infuse your opinion with a little more air of credibility and, at the very least, confidence. In a world where a solid majority of "experts" and pundits wouldn't know an expert opinion if it came to their house and violated them, I'd say it wouldn't bee too outlandish if you sold yourself at market value.
You seem to have earned the journalistic bragging rights, so why not?

I think I'm so used to questioning everything and saying it's always impossible to be 100% certain about these sources I tend to qualify everything I say, but yes, it's maybe something I can do without now.

You have a source for that? How would that even work? I have never heard of a predator with AIM-9's.. but then again, my whole pred experience was in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Any idea which model AIM-9 it is? Does the guy in the trailer at nellis get a tone lock? I mean, space and time being what they are, and latency being what it is, and AIM-9 ranges being what they are.. I can't see stinger missile engagement ever working-- but I've been proven wrong a million times before so

Unless this is a different event than the 2002 shoot down, the account I read said the foxbat went into the no fly zone and the drone operator decided to have a crack. The drone missed and the foxbot then shot it down.

They really should just issue each joe a field expedient inflatable gently caress doll. But then they'd have to have classes on cleaning it, proper storage, and explain DX procedures.

Not one would ever be accepted for return by CIF and the government can charge them triple price for a replacement because, "we're the military, that's why it costs more, and no, we won't accept the one you got across the street at the milsurp store." And you just know there'd be a few nasty fuckers out there who'd buy a used one from a milsurp shop to keep their issue one in package.

Like SS said, Stingers aren't Sidewinders...-9s are a whole different class of missile, which is why Preds can only carry Stingers, since they're considerably smaller/lighter than -9s (although they dropped that idea pretty quickly after realizing that it was loving retarded) while Reapers can actually notionally carry Sidewinders, although again, no one thinks that is viable because it's loving retarded for a whole host of reasons.

Also the MiG shot first; they had been using Predators to bait Iraqi fighters into flying south into the no-fly zone and/or opening fire so they'd have justification to engage with actual fighters...that time instead of turning and running the Predator shot back.

And thus ended the U.S. military's first abortive (and so far only) attempt to utilize an air to air RPA.
