My cute cat is right here in the room with me as I write this, but if she ever turned to me with that look and loving talked while coldly staring at me like that I'd shoot her in the face. Then myself.

Flying Zamboni posted:That cat has the eerily calm and dead gaze of a serial killer. That cat is not to be trusted. The trailer almost makes it out to be a horror movie. If that really is the premise of the movie (where the cat can only talk to someone once), it's kinda like someone trying to adapt One Froggy Evening. Those are flat out the worst "talking animal" effects I've seen in a movie.

A Talking Cat!?! appears to be directed by the same David DeCoteau guy who made the 1313 movies spoken of above. His IMDB page of late seems to show some flip-flopping between horror movies and family fare ("An Easter Bunny Puppy" and "A Halloween Puppy"). What I love is that the trailer clearly shows that someone didn't realize this wasn't supposed to be a horror film (as CaptainHollywood pointed out), and they just edited it like they would the horror movies. It's like one of those YouTube games people play where they re-edit movies into trailers for other genres. Speaking of IMDB pages, Eric Roberts has yet to be credited for A Talking Cat!?!... I wonder why his many fans haven't rushed to fix it—ohhhhhhhhh. Icon-Cat fucked around with this message at 05:05 on Feb 10, 2013 |

Icon-Cat posted:A Talking Cat!?! appears to be directed by the same David DeCoteau. Curiously he cites he doesn't do any outright nudity as he wants to preserve an upcoming actor's reputation, should they escape from direct to video hell. It's enough that people cast in his films have commented on how voyeuristic and creepy the experience was. He comes off as a barely restrained version of Victor Salva, who did the infamous Clownhouse. Try and get through the opening scenes without expecting your door to be kicked down as you watch young boys wander around shirtless for no reason. Your suspicions are confirmed when the lead actor successfully pressed charges of underage sexual assault.

Bobby The Rookie posted:It wouldn't be that big of a deal, though, because it would only be able to talk to you specifically one time. And if the trailer is any indication, it would use that one time to tell you that it could only talk that one time.
