I posted in the identify this tune thread but i though maybe I'd have more luck in this thread.
Dj Dara of DnB fame used to sell mixtapes in my local comic shop back in 1993 before he went to america.
I wore out my copies of them playing them repeatedly (anyone remember having to splice broken tapes) but this one track was always my favourite and I have had no luck in ID'ing it in the last 20 years.
I'd have asked in the drum and bass thread but these mixes all come from the breakbeat era before everything got pigeon-holed to death

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn7shBwSUrM

If there's any interest i'll upload the lot of them somewhere.

There's a Slacker track on the latest Transitions mix. I had no idea he was still around.

edit: Did he die or something? John said "we miss you mate, but at least your music lives on."

The answer is, mate, because I want to do you slowly. There has to be a bit of sport in this for all of us. In the psychological battle stakes, we are stripped down and ready to go. I want to see those ashen-faced performances; I want more of them. I want to be encouraged. I want to see you squirm.
Just got reminded of this absolutely killer set from a couple of years back:

Just getting around to listening through the past couple weeks of releases, the new Inigo Kennedy is really good... All three tracks are, but this one is my favorite, I like this kind of stuff at the moment, a little melodic but not cheezy and still nice and heavy.

Which one, Geophone 18 or the Blackholes remake by heiroglyphic being? That remake is from 2005 but the original is from 1990 and has been lost forever or something like that. I've been waiting on a repress of it now forever. Nina plays it a lot. Zip played it in his fabric CD. Ben UFO played it on Wednesday in the 4 hour Boiler Room. In any case I think it should be repressed. Lord knows it would sell really well.

magda, make the tea

Yeah, I'm in from Wednesday. Going with a crew so I'm not doing all techno, but i've got 7(maybe 8) parties booked in. Over 4 days.

I'm going to:
detroit premier showcase at treehouse.
fold theory vs the world at catalina hotel.
bedrock at cameo. maybe drumcode at treehouse the same night too, I may have a hookup.
CLR at space
basic NYC at beach plaza hotel
born electic cruise
never say never at the sls hotel

I'm not sure how I'm going to survive it, but it should be fun trying. Flight back up to NYC from fll sunday afternoon is going to be hell on earth though.
