Ahahaha. That's great, especially since the '10+ MS3's torque steer is reportedly quite a bit less than the '07-'09.

bung posted:I'm not a fan of "hot rods" but the front suspension on this 32 Ford is pretty drat clever. That's the big new trend in street rods. Pro Touring has moved on from muscle cars to the street rod crowd as they've finally stopped worshiping at the House of Boyd and Billet. Muscle cars are starting to trend towards the 70's "street freak" quasi-Pro Street look of jacked up rear ends and wild engines poking through hoods, you'll start seeing more of those in the next few years. 50's and early 60's cars are firmly in a gasser nostalgia kick. Rat rods, mercifully, are starting to die out. e- at the end he talks about the chassis like it's the first time anyone has built a tube frame off of a set of boxed deuce framerails Seizure Meat fucked around with this message at 21:28 on Mar 13, 2013 |

So I would take claims of less torque steer with a lot of doubt.

Well, I haven't driven the 2010+ MS3 so I can't personally comment on how much less torque steer it has than my '07... but I can absolutely say I'm too scared to even attempt that hands-off maneuver anywhere this side of a very large, very empty skidpad.

From all my colleagues' accounts it's great, though not quite as sharp as the Megane RS - and that car is fantastically fast when driven properly, but as lairy as a FWD gets when you just chuck it around. Practically, the Focus wins for being a five-door. And not a French car.

Is it me or does that camber actually seem to help keep the front tires somewhat more level when the wheels are locked out during a hard drift? Thats the only functional explanation I can come up with.
