I just got my old GBC back from a friend I traded it too years ago. And while I play I keep wishing the screen were lit with something other than my stupid worm light. The dpad is... meh. Unfortunately you can press it in and activate all four directions... and can be amusing in some games. That said, it's actually fairly responsive, and I don't find the dpad to be much of a hindrance in gb games. The buttons feel good as well.

RGGE: Summer Games 2. Will you ship international? No, I'd really rather not ship internationally. 3. A list of your consoles Retro Duo, toaster NES, non-working N64, fat PS2. 4. Favorite genres of game I like pretty much anything, honestly. 5. Any specific requests. I would really like a working N64, an actual SNES of any stripe, and games for either system. 6. You may include an optional "do not send" list. Don't want 5 EA titles showing up in the mail? Say so. Here's my RF Generation profile. It's a partial list at the moment, I'll complete it after I go home on the 9th for summer break (there's a shitload of NES games at my house that aren't on it, and an even bigger shitload of PSX and Genesis games), but basically don't send me anything on this list.

Holy poo poo this only tangentially related to this thread but I just popped open Steam and there's a new Shadowrun game coming out in June, and it looks just like the SNES Shadowrun but prettier. And it's looking to be like $20, too, and it has ridiculously low system requirements to boot [yay my broke-rear end PC can run it!]. It's also set in Seattle, which is awesome. I am very excited. SNES Shadowrun is one of my favorites on the platform, and I've got a stack of Shadowrun pen and paper sourcebooks because I keep trying to get a thing started with my local nerd friends. e. and the soundtrack is being done by the people behind the original game soundtracks too, holy dickens deluxe pack comes with the soundtrack and some short stories, gonna buy that deluxe pack e2. Now that I think about it, I think I do remember hearing something about this a long time ago, I must've totally forgotten about it until now Code Jockey fucked around with this message at 06:51 on May 1, 2013 |

What the gently caress, PAL Mega Man X is now worth £60 for a cart-only copy? Oh god why did I sell mine in 1998, it had the box and manual and other crap and probably even the small plastic bag the cart was in, gently caress me I was a dumb little poo poo Looks like Final Fantasy VI Advance is pretty drat expensive now as well. Also, half the carts on eBay look like dodgy bootlegs, don't ship to my part of the world, or don't have pictures on the listing. Most of them don't look quite as bad as this, though, check out that amazing Nintendo logo on the label. I'm sure this is perfectly legit

I finally figured out how to open the 21 pin connector on the OEM SFC RGB cable. Push each of the four tabs in, turn the fastener, repeat. Seems the caps were fine and after putting it back together I got it working with the XRGBmini. Feel kind of stupid about the whole situation, but at least everything's working well. No checkerboard effect either, unlike what I get using the non OEM S-video I picked up for my J-NTSC N64 Another day, another

I like to think that the original SNES Shadowrun team was fueled simply by their hatred of what Microsoft did with the game on the 360. And yup, the game, aesthetically at least, looks very much like the SNES version of the game. It has the original overworld music in the game, too! For shits and giggles I priced out what a Mario Kart: Double Dash network would cost for 16 players and came up with $1-$2k for an 8-screen setup with everything required. Tack on an extra $1k if you need component cables. Having said that, the only advantage this gives you over a 4-console setup is not having to do a 2-way split screen (every individual kart gets its own screen with an 8-way configuration).
