Anyone know if it's possible to get a complete GAME OVER in this? As in everybody has died and you sir, are hosed.

Or does it just randomly generate new characters if everyone dies, a bit like it does with cars?

Has anyone found a good tactic against the "sleeping" zombies yet? They'll die to one well-timed swing but I'd rather not have them lunge at me at all.

Are these different from the zombies laying around that will sometimes wake up? I usually try the stealth takedown around them and it takes them down easy enough.

Does building an outpost just make a zone that's zombie-free? Because I see certain resource icons over the outposts. Materials for one, bullets and fuel for another. What gives?

Walk close to them then the second they move hit B, that dodges the attack then swing swing swing.

I've already messed my game up, I built outposts everywhere I could so now I have the max amount and can't move my main home? The Base MAnagement is really confusing can someone shed some light? Also with the finite resources won't the game eventually become unplayable? (No food, medicine or materials).

I'm pretty excited to play this when I get home, but why on earth does the developer think they can go straight from this to an MMO?

I think they probably mean the broader definition of MMO, something more like War-Z.

Downloaded the demo from the US, tossing up if I want to cough up for some US points and just get it through that or fiddle around in the demo until the stop sitting on their hands and classify the game.
But... what's with the widescreen TV's in the tents?

How else are you going to watch sports while camping?

Considering that tent has kegs and is filthy, it's probably supposed to be some frat guys.

You can eventually grow food and do other things to mitigate some of the finite resources, but you have to keep in mind that the game is designed to have a concrete ending so you're not supposed to just play on one save forever.

I'm guessing one of the tents belongs to Tom Haverford.

Yeah that's the situation I'm in. I want to move to a bigger home base too and that takes an assload of materials. Decisions :ohdear:

If you go into the base menu you can have Lily ask around for resource locations, at least.

The game is pretty fun. Got about 3 hours in before work, still in first town. Found a Plants vs Zombies reference in the back yard of some house. My biggest complaint is the apparent lack of aim assist. Really it's crazy. If anyone that hasn't bought the game that wants to see how hard it is to aim, load up your favorite FPS and try killing your teammates in the head. Now imagine that but with them two times thinner and that there are things running at you trying to kill you.

The last thing is that for some reason the game doesn't run at the right resolution? Like it runs off the screen a bit. No other game has done that since I had a SD CRT TV as my 360 video output.

RIP Maya "Yoga Pants" Torres.

E: For wood go around and look for the "factory" icons on the mini map. They are usually sheds and poo poo in back yards and they have metric rear end tons of wood. You get like 15-20 per sack and a lot of the sites will have multiple sacks.

Loving this game. Few things not really clear about:

- What is the point of the right trigger menu for cheer/etc? I use it and none of my companions seem to care.
- Is there anyway to have companions tag along with me?
- How do i see what time in game it is?

*EDIT* One more:

- Often zombies are laying on the ground, and i sneak up on them and try to do the killing strike. Instead they just seem to get up and my killing strike becomes a shove. How do i kill them on the ground?

The stealth kill attack actually works well on them as long as you get behind them while they're standing.

I kinda wish some of my guys would die. The closest I have come was with Maya in a besieged mission. I alearted 2 hordes to the house along with the normal cluster gently caress of zombies. Then I got in a car and ran a bunch over, glitched the car on a zombie which made front tyres dissapear and the zombie I glitch on just floated into space Skyrim style.

The worst thing that has happened to me is that I flipped my Ford f150 over.

e: They should of got rid of the "tap A to not die" everytime you drop. It gives you at least 3 lives. Which is plenty of time to cheese it.

Weird it doesn't work for me. I Get right behind them so they are still laying on the ground then do the sneaking killing LB+Y, it causes the zombie to instantly stand and i just push him away.

Also a minor warning, I jumped out the first floor of a broken window and somehow ended up dead?

Hey, neat. If you have ordered a construction project, quit the game and come back an hour later it'll be done. Construction projects are real-time!

I discovered something else Outposts are good for. Upgrade one to set traps and it'll blow up zombie hordes that wander in there. You even get points for it.

I think the game world persists in real-time according to some article a while back. I mean you won't log in to find your outpost overrun by zombies or anything if you don't play for a week but I guess *stuff happens* while you're not playing the game.

Searching a house trying to be all sneaky, like because there was a horde right outside when some sneaky bastard gets the drop on me. Instinctively I kill it only to bring a wave of zombies flooding into the house. Blocked in I leap through the back window and carrying a rucksack I JUST ABOUT make it to a booby trapped outpost before they get me.

Brilliant.

edit: Unless something really changes I think this is the zombie game I've always dreamed of.

Sounds like it's mostly just the construction. The developers said that it won't kill off your survivors in the background.
