He also changed all episode titles to "Japanese Game Name (English Version Name)" but I guess that's just a preference thing. I don't care for it, but I can't really find an objective reason to argue why it shouldn't be that way.

I've been using The TVDB to scrape my collection in XBMC and seems to be working just fine. I can't attest to the accuracy of the specials, though.

I've got bad news and good news. Bad news: for the next couple months, I'll still be too busy to devote a whole lot of time to translating. I have several jobs going on at once right now which, as a freelance artist, is a blessing but my hobbies have to be put on hold. Good news: one of those jobs is more official Game Center CX work! So at least I'll be working on something GCCX related  . I won't reveal anything until I'm allowed to but just to get it out of the way, it has nothing to do with a new English DVD release. ETA: or an English game release.

Just take it easy, zari-gani. I feel like we got a little spoiled earlier this spring when there was a week or so when we got a new GCCX release almost every day! But there's so much episodes translated now I can always watch something older to satisfy my Arino fix - and I've also begun watching the RAWs of the new episodes just to see what's coming up.

I think it's safe to at least say it has nothing to do with an English release of anything! Guys, it's obviously an Japanese release of Game Center CX in the US. They figure by this point we've must have learned enough Japanese to watch the show without subtitles, and Zari-Gari is doing the artwork. I'm sure she fought hard for English subtitles, but you know how it is. As the Japanese would say, "c'est la vie," except in, like you know, Japanese. That, or it's a Swahili release of Game Center CX. One or the other. That's what I'm putting my money on.

The event in Paris just ended. Unfortunately I'm on my way to the airport now so I'm missing the meet and greet at 3 but I managed to film the first 10 minutes or so of the event. It was at the smaller videogame stage and although not everyone in the crowd knew the show, those who did were very vocal! I'd estimate about 200ish people actively watching the GCCX event.

The video I took is now up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abLwmiJVtgY Stuff that happened after the video cuts off: - Tried another time with Yoshi, with much the same results. - They then asked the audience for anyone wishing to challenge Arino head-to-head. - Arino picked: a man wearing a GCCX shirt who beat him, a woman who'd never heard of the show before and lost, and a shy Japanese kid who also beat him. After the show Arino took off and Abe got mobbed by fans. I managed to get a selfie with him but with the stage lighting it's loving awful. I actually saw Abe in the entrance queue getting footage, no idea why I didn't take a picture then. Oh well!
