Also, Joa is scary looking. This author is just so good at drawing scary looking characters, I've never seen the whole glowing-eyes-in-shadow thing done quite as well as it has been done here.

Though I suppose that is scary.

Before, it seemed like God might be an ingredient or something, but with the shark jump over cannibalism into people-cooking, I'm expecting them to leave Gourmet World and eat with archangels and poo poo at the pearly gates while God's on the barbeque.

Considering the context of preparing the other ingredients on Acacia's Full Course (Air, Earth, Atom, etc.) as well as the mentioning of the abilities of the revitalizing Kitchen Knife, it was well within the scope to conclude that they were going to be actually dissecting the very world and it's beliefs to prepare this Full Course.

Though now I'm a little bothered now at a lack of information, as we don't know what the Soup/Fish Dish/Meat Dish is of Acacia's Full Course.

I'm assuming that either the soup or the fish is called Water and one of the three is called Fire. Maybe one is called Edge? That would be the opposite of Center, I suppose.

On second thought, Void or Aether sounds better than Edge. I guess Void would be the soup, Water the fish, and Fire the meat.

What if Soup is Soul? You know, like Soup for the Soul... Wakka Wakka.

Though to be honest, Fire as soup would be loving awesome.

There was that snake dragon that showed up to retrieve Starjuun last chapter, and all the stuff that popped out of Tommyrod. oh, and the legendary horse, Herak.

Yeah, I was about to say. Wasn't one of the dudes a crazy, immortal centaur or some poo poo. And don't mention the Giraffebirds like they're punks. The Giraffebirds were metal as hell.

Also, to be on topic, what was the point of Joa releasing the four-beast or whatever that thing that pacman ate on the human world? He doesn't even seem really attached to this world or really interested in conquering it, so was it for fun or what? I mean, he coincidentally get Teppei out of the deal, but why play with the Four Heavenly Kings? Maybe he knows exactly where and how to get the ingredients for Acacia but he's been unable to find a chef to actually cook them until Komatsu? I guess that seems fairly obvious, but I wonder about the timing of Neo since it seems that they could have done this without running into literally every good guy a lot earlier or later in the story.

I dunno, Joa seems interesting because he's a cook who's so powerful. Even with people like Setsuno, all the cooks we've seen have been paired with other, more powerful people, but Joa's going it alone and is still an absolute nightmare. (Was Joa the cook who would have been considered the best in the first cook competition, but broke the rules and was disqualified forever or something?) I doubt he's in in need of someone to cook for him, at any rate. Maybe he's just a dick.

Staajun's technically a cook, and he messed up Toriko pretty badly.
There's also that Tengu chef who got the immortal centaur guy stuck in an eternity of being electrocuted to death.

Yes, but Starjun also wanted to team up with Komatsu because he's a better cook, so for what I was saying he'd basically be on the "string guy" side of things. As for Buranchi, he's a strong chef, but, as I said earlier and as Setsuno shows, that's not in and of itself a rare thing. But my point isn't "chefs can't be strong" so much as that Joa is both one of if not the best chefs around and a guy so terrifyingly powerful that, well, look at him. And he seems to lack a proper partner (though he can apparently make anyone into a servant with that weird technique) as well.

Nahxela

Execution
Yeah, but while Staajun expressed interest in partnering up with Komatsu, he hasn't, he's still on his own outside of what little time he's been shown to have with Komatsu's friend. Likewise with Buranchi, we haven't seen him with a partner Bishokuya despite having ventured into the Gourmet World/having Gourmet World dishes on his menu, unlike how we've seen Setsuno as a partner with Jirou. So they're both very competent/strong chefs while by themselves.

I can't say much more than WOW... Setsuno busting out her serious knife and blocking that absurd attack. And just when Buff Zombie Nitros get loose, Jirou shows and and pops one like a bubblegum balloon :drat:. And now I get the Bad-rear end Old People of my dreams? What a tease to end the chapter.

So are we supposed to getting the hint that Joa is somehow Frozhe/Acacia?

That, or Joa killed her. One of the two.

Anyway, Joa, Setsuno, and Jirou all being badass make for a good chapter. Looks like upcoming ones should be entertaining as well. (Though I wonder who's shouting in the last panel; the text style and how "loud" it is does not match Joa at all, so apparently some bystander's just screaming things at the fight. (Which is a totally anime thing to be happening admittedly.))

I wouldn't be surprised if the appearance of Jirou causes Joa to fall back. There's a lot of really strong people on the battle field now and I doubt were going to see them go all out already. Joa will probably grab Komatsu (who else could he be after?) and run, starting the save Komatsu! arc.

Though in the end, if Joa is a male he will just fall for Koma like the rest of them.

What, so Frohze did the Namekian split and Joa is Picollo....? Anyways we know for sure that Frohze died prepping food, so that's that. Joa can be related to Frohze though, maybe he/she is her son and thus rightfully inherits her knife?

But do we actually know that? That's the story behind her death, but it's all hearsay at this point. This is also a world where you can stab health into someone, so I wouldn't count anyone out unless they are completely obliterated.

Didn't someone comment that these nitros weren't the top class ones? Seems like even for the nitros there would be different levels, and suckers like these gets captured easily. Regardless as it stands, we have seen more than a few people capable of handling the nitros with complete ease so they are no longer a threat until we see the more powerful ones. I wonder if there's a nation of nitros somewhere in the gourmet world and they become the fourth faction in this war.
