Think I'm about 15 odd years late here but I listened to the Pietasters for the first time the other day and I'm loving them.

Next Jeff summer song is out, check your emails. Haven't listened to it yet, but apparently it was originally supposed to be on a follow up 7" to "Everybody That You Love" so it's probably really really good.

Got the monthly bug to go back and listen through all of BTMI's albums. I feel it's a universal certainty that I'm always going to forget to catch what Laura Stevenson hosed up in 'Stuff that I Like', and yet it will always bother me once the song ends.

Does anyone know who did the cover art for that album? It looks like Mitch Clem's work.

I never thought Jeff Rosenstock would remind me of MC Frontalot, but here we are. I'm happy with this.

So what's the deal with the Summer Songs? Is their any digital release?

All I can find is this http://reallyrecords.bigcartel.com/product/jeff-rosenstock-summer-7-fun-club which is sold out.

That's it. It's basically what it describes - those that managed to buy it get a two-song seven-inch, and then digital downloads emailed to them of seven other songs. Both of the songs from the seven inch have been released, and three of the digital downloads have been emailed out. They said it'll be emailed out every two weeks, but it took about three weeks between the first and second songs. It was two weeks to the day between 2 and 3 though, so I guess we'll see if it keeps up!

Don't have it myself, but I think it's the most recent two Jeff tracks here - 'Teenagers' and 'Go On Get'.

Hopefully the rest get put up somewhere after the summer club thing has finished

I liked some of that album, I was thinking of In With The Out Crowd. No album has been as good start-to-finish as the ones from the Hello Rockview era though.

I still think a kickstarter to buy LTJ train tickets out of Gainesville is the way to go.

This is totally common practice for touring bands. Usually their only exception is at home state shows.

I didn't mind that the set list was the same between shows. Of course that is common practice. I didn't like the song selection for the set list especially since it's the band's last tour.

I did, because they played The Big Sleep, and as much as I'd like to hear Point Keasbeypoint again, I'd rather hear The Big Sleep live just once.

Not getting to hear Receving End live is basically my only ska regret (along with not seeing MUstard Plug play for ten people a couple years ago when they finally got booked here).

edit Voodoo Glow Skulls with the Toasters in Buffalo in October sounds like a good show.

Oh man I saw them in Rochester last spring and that show was loving bonkers. I have never been so sure that I'm going to die at a show before. There were people literally hanging from the ceiling. Opened with Islands, the rest of the show is a blur of sweaty bodies and punching.

Eh, they're alright, but they lean a little too much towards that Hawaiian pseudo-college rock Pepper/Dirty Heads type stuff. As a huge pothead, even I was like "ok guys we get it you smoke a lot of weed."

A drummer/singer is always a novelty, though.

Supervillains put out some amazing songs but after Grow Yer Own went too much in the Pepper/Brojams direction for me. They have always been really good live though and I've seen them 6+ times so I'd give it a shot and hope for a good setlist.

I was listening to the Spitvalves today whose trumpet player plays with the Supervillains now and they're amazing. Pick up Fine Print at the Bottom and Moving On if you've never heard them. Both stellar albums.

I saw Supervillains open for LTJ like two years ago and I was just super bummed that they didn't play St. Thomas because that's the only song I knew and I wanted to yell "K-Mart sucks my rear end in St. Thomas" and I didn't get to and that's my story.
