I had a real bad-rear end landlord when I had to live out in Wheeling for a year, he would have let me if I'd asked. I think so long as they know you're responsible AND they won't get poo poo from other tenants they'd be cool with it. Probably not if you live in a huger commercial-style apartment building. But if you have a condo or rent in a private building then I bet you've got above average chances.

Ya I might stop over by the guy's office next week to see if a deposit or something would work. Other tenants in the building have been grandfathered in with having dogs so it's not unheard of in this building. I'll just have to see what kind of demand school puts on me before going to a shelter. Naming this future dog Don Draper btw.

You know what amazes me? My mom has a 160lb dog along with a dog that weighs no more than 15lbs. The 160lb dog will play rough as poo poo with me, but he's so gentle with the small dog.
