Although I would have liked it if depressed Dee was season long.

Yeah, I don't think the ending of a TV show has ever changed my opinion of an episode so much. It went from "well produced/funny Always Sunny fanfic" to a stroke of genius

Jesus christ, they've still got it. Before the end of the episode I was a little worried this might be the season they slip but fuckin not at all! I hope the FXX thing doesn't gently caress up the viewership numbers or whatever they make TV show decisions based on.

Agreed. The whole storyline had me calling bullshit. I thought Dee's success was unbelievable (in the framework of the show). It seemed like an episode we'd look back on and say "that's where it jumped the shark." I knew Dee would get her comeuppance, but I did not see that whole turnaround coming. Absolutely brilliant. And well put together. I love the way they telegraphed her getting nervous so I thought I knew exactly how it would end.

I figured she would go on Conan and puke, Dennis having pressured her ala flip cup...Amusing, yet predictable. Welp

IT WOULD NOT BE DIFFICULT MEIN FUHRER!

They were able to perfectly make you expect that she'd just choke on Conan and fall back to normalcy that way. But then it's all "HOLY gently caress WHAT THE poo poo!!?!!!?" when the reveal comes :allears:

It's astounding how well the formula of "People are monstrous to each other and themselves" can be funny for nine straight seasons, but here we are. God drat that ending was pitch perfect.

Did you turn it off with 5 minutes left? Cause holy loving poo poo this episode was epic.

Dee's dry heaving is magical.

Listen here, funnyman!
That was really great. Opening with Dee finally being broken from the abuse, to screwing over her friends for fame to the final reveal it was all a work at her expense.

The ending was classic Always Sunny. You don't feel too bad because the characters are so drat unlikable and monstrous you're just like "good". I love this show, this is the kind of poo poo you need to watch after a long day.

Well, that's certainly an opinion, and you are welcome to it. But, drat, do I ever disagree with it. And I think you'll find that almost everyone here also really liked this episode. Now, I'm going to go in the back and make some charts and graphs to show you why this episode was so funny.

This was my thoughts exactly, until the last 5 minutes when the whole thing becomes really funny. I can't wait to watch this episode again knowing that the whole thing is just a loving setup, it's going to make it so enjoyable the second time through!

Damnit, I accidentally caught the 'wanted to sink how low you could go' quote in here before I watched the episode, but I like to think it would've been obvious the entire time she was being played. Great start to the season, lets hope plenty of people got the message about the new network!

Hahaha holy poo poo Dennis actually trying to do the loving D.E.N.N.I.S system on his sister, more specifically that speech at the plane was very reminiscent of his Inspire Hope speech from when he was D.E.N.N.I.S-ing the pharmacist.

The episode was amazing especially Dennis trying to inspire hope with D to catch a ride to fame only to have her tell him 'gently caress off; got mine'. That being said I'm really curious what Dennis is going to do now after he slinks out of the bar at the end when he found out he wasn't part of the joke. It's going to be magical when it does come to fruition though.
