Dennis being a maniac is like my favourite thing about this show.

At first I wasn't really into the episode because it felt too predictable. She's gonna get big, go back to her old ways and crash, return to status quo. But holy poo poo did that payoff come out of nowhere and was amazing. "he's probably gonna kill himself"

Also, I'm sure it's obvious, but I feel it's worth pointing out anyway that Dennis was literally perusing through a "binder full of men" while looking for someone for Dee.

I thought it was suspicious the paparazzi would care about Dee's appearance on Conan, but I ignored it figuring "its just tv." Then the reveal came and I realized I was Dee all along. Bravo, show. Bravo.

I've seen far worse comedy lineups than Sweet Dee and Landslide, so I believed it all the way to the reveal.

Just saw it, fantastic ending I really thought she was going to end up choking on Conan. Like it would cut from going on stage to her and the gang at the bar where they would be showing her choking on tv over and over...was pleasantly surprised. Overall though it was a decent ep, middle kinda lost my attention for a bit.

Can you believe they are already in their 9th season? And going so strong! This has to be one of the best season openers for Sunny ... I'll have to re-watch the first seasons now. And I really hope they are following up on "Broke Dennis" - this would be hilarious!

The look of childish glee on Mac's face during Landslide's set, when he says "I bet his diarrhea is really nasty!" is amazing. He's so happy to think such gross thoughts! When Charlie says to Dee, "You're in that sweet spot between suicidal and already dead that comedians seem to thrive in" it seemed too true to be funny.

I consider Sunny to be very similar to Seinfeld in many ways, a spiritual successor of sorts, and I guess it's no surprise that Seinfeld is my favorite show and Sunny is close behind. But yeah, in terms of pure 20-minute episodes, Seinfeld had 180 and Sunny will hit 100 midway through this season. Seinfeld hit that milestone midway through Season 6, before Larry David even left and it was still dishing out some of the best episodes like The Race. Sunny has a comparatively smaller but just as memorable set of regulars that make up fictional Philly, but their devotion to the lore of their own show is right up there with Seinfeld.
