Agree on both parts. I like the idea that the only instrument left was that tambourine, but Connie's playing the hell out of it because he doesn't want to let anyone down. But, man, that card. If that didn't have the little credit on it that all the end cards do, I'd assume it was lifted from a porn site/pixiv account.

Sasha's VA is appropriate because her VA is even weirder than the character. Merry Christmas!

I meant like, a veteran from before Maria fell where the military were just there to do maintenance on the wall and get drunk; they'd still teach you how to use 3DMG even if it was only useful for the Scouts. And to go back a few pages, what is this about Annie having a mental breakdown? I never interpreted it as a mental breakdown, just a crazy psycho grin because she's getting pumped up to fight, and with the anime's addition of the weird blushing and laughter....I dunno, maybe she is sexually aroused by the sense of a jig being up? Maybe she plays Mafia but when she's the Mafia or Cop or Doctor or other special role she heavily hints her role so she can get caught? And somebody also said that there was laughter even in the cut published version of the manga, just offscreen. Anybody who knows Japanese, what does it say in the bottom of the panel between Team Jaeger's reaction shots?

Whole bunch of manga readers in the anime thread forgetting that the second Annie/Eren training scene occurs as a flashback during the Armored Titan fight, it hasn't been cut (yet)

It's just 2 pages but it does show that they spend more time together and he knows a lot about her fighting style, which is kinda important for the next episode's stuff. Of course it has been months since the training episode and maybe I forgot if it was there. Pretty sure it wasn't, though.

I might have missed something, but did we hear anything from Sasha after she met up with her dad and rode off into the sunset or whatever?

I can only assume she rode off to feast on a mountain of potatoes.

According to the wiki, Sasha was originally supposed to die in chapter 36, but that got changed at the last moment. I'm thinking either she's out of the story entirely now, or will show up again after this arc is done.

That prologue thing has a good reason for why Sasquatch doesn't recognise the 3D gear if they've only been around for less than 30 years. Seems a little short to me, though.

From the anime thread:MetricUnit posted:The walls seem like they're going to be one of the big mysteries of the show. They would have to have been built before titans existed, but why would you build 50m high walls unless you know the titans are coming? Where did they get the obscene amount of stone/labor to build it? I'm sure when it comes up the Wall cult is going to have our answers, maybe they're even responsible for creating titans and they built the walls because they knew they were coming. I've love to see his reaction when Mikasa peels off a piece of the wall and sees that Titan's eye staring back at her.

My longshot on that: -human-titans built the wall using other human-titan shifters as base, since they caused the apocalypse -normal humans found the walls, invaded and drove the human titans away. -human-titans rebuilt elsewhere.

LuisX posted:My longshot on that: I'm thinking way back when the royalty started forcing peasants and serfs into becoming cheap, mindless labour by stealing the power of titans from some that already existed. Over time they started an uprising and people like Ymir helped lead it which lead to them building a wall with human-titans to protect the upper class. The lower class only exist to serve them which would account for nobody actually knowing who the king is and that the inner circle is basically parties everyday.
