Yeah, but once was a blown fuse, twice was running 16 amps through 12 amp fans, and once was running out of gas. He ran back to back 6.7's. That loving car is gonna make it. Only thing that's gonna stop it I think is a catastrophic engine failure on the strip.

Drag Week had some catastrophic engine failures last year with some guys who dealt with it and kept going. The Roadkill leaf blower Monza is even entered this year. There's even more of one when going 80 in a 55 gets you tailgated (Merritt parkway anyone?) though in that case it's more of a problem with the guy behind you.

They seem surprisingly fast, considering how far bike tech has evolved since then, with more power, better composites and alloys, traction control, oh, and tyres. I imagine it's like the evolution of F1 from some hairy chested event where there was a not insignificant chance of driver injury/death, to today where it's faster, but more sterile.
