Man the tall buildings really add a lot to the game besides annoying snipers. You can jump off them and deploy your chute really late and still come out healthy. Makes it really fun to dive bomb unsuspecting enemies or jump on a tank and rocket it.

Dammit. I'm stuck on the loading screen/black screen where I can hear everything. It was working fine earlier today. Anybody know how to fix this? Google's giving me a whole lot of nothing.

Is it pointless to fire them without first ADS'ing and getting a distance lock?

It was doing that to me and I kept trying different servers until it worked. Also apparently I'm not allowed to look at capture point C in domination because I get .5 FPS when I do.

I've gotten three knife kills just by taking the elevator up to the roofs of the buildings around B and getting behind them. I'm pretty sure that's more knife kills than I've ever gotten in BF3!The knifing animation looks pretty lame, though.

The new ammo mechanic on vehicles is incredible, I was flying the attack helo, engaged the enemy attack helo. At the first sign of trouble both mine and his gunner bailed and we where just circling each other trading heatseekers and dumbfire missiles until we both ran out and had to back off. Then I did som fancy flying through skyscrapers to avoid stingers and flew into a wall just when a pubbie squadmate spawned into the gunnerseat. Speaking of dumb mechanics, people seem baffled by the front knife counter. I step out of an elevator into two guys, the guy in front tries to knife me while the guy behind him unloads into his rear end. I counter kill the guy in front, panic-knife the next guy, he misses the counter and dies.

Trip Report: After waiting the 5 minutes for the loading screen to go away, I manage to get into a game. Spawn as CN, run to point E and notice some guy climbing out of the water thinking he's sneaky. Nope.  I have a i5 3500k with 760 GTX (4 gb) and 16gb of RAM. and this game runs pretty well on my system. I have seen no slowdowns although I'm certain there's more optimizations to be had. Beta Nvidia drivers too. I put BF4 on a SSD, but load time are still pretty poor. I'll have to try removing those zip files or whatever. Apart from that the game definitely feels like BF3 but distinctly different. I still get stuck on world geometry, both on foot and in vehicles. Also sniping is very different as well, although I don't think this map is particularly good for snipers. Pretty fun though, I'm definitely looking forward to the full game.

Hey this is pretty fun, I really haven't been following this too closely so when I first joined the match post-collapse and realized at the start of the next round that there's actually a giant loving tower there I was pretty amazed. Runs decently on my PC too, just about solid 45-60FPS the whole time.

Well, aside from a few crashes the game runs pretty well for me. My setup includes an i5 3570K @ 4.2GHz, a Sapphire HD7950 3GB Boost @ Stock clocks, 16gb of ram, and I'm loading off of a 500gb Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm hard drive. Running the beta drivers, too. I have all settings up all the way and vsync turned off. Playing on a 1080p monitor. I average 45-60+ fps on full 64 player servers before, during and after the destruction of the skyscraper. Just a little worse than BF3 runs, so I'm pretty happy! There's definitely still work to be done, though. Also, I'm in love with the XM25 Airburst. It's great fun, especially for watching the elevators at C e: Oh and battlescreen on a second monitor is goddamn excellent. I've been wanting something like that since BC2

So it seems destroying C has turned into an annoying gimmick that basically pubbies do immediately at the start of every round forcing you to play in dusty gray zone the whole game. It kind of sucks.

When the game works it is absolutely mind blowing how fun it is when you have a squad number of goons on voice working together. When you have a server full in the same channel it gets overwhelming though. You can't stop the fartswarm.

This really feels like a Battlefield-rear end-Battlefield game. Not a CODified Battlefield, not a "This was made for consoles" Battlefield, just a big ol' sprawling map with loads of vehicles going at it while infantry are fighting and parachuting and poo poo sort of Battlefield. I worry about those Battlepacks though.

Can we get DICE to patch out the BF3 SOFLAM with the BF4 one? I don't care if BF4 is about to come out but WE NEED THIS. THIS IS THE BEST drat IMPROVEMENT OF THE WHOLE GAME. It has night vision, it does SOFLAMing, you start with it, it has a range finder. It's amazing.

No I am sorry the best improvement in the game is not being able to fire while jumping. gently caress you bunny hoppers! -- Is anyone else having trouble preordering the game? I preorder on origin and fill the CC info and after I hit place order it goes back to my cart view with BF4 still in cart and charges me $1.10 on the credit card. No idea what the gently caress is going on since the game doesnt show up in order history either. Going to contact origin support if I can find a contact email.
