Yeah they're touring the US with Frank Turner til the end of November. I'm from Melbourne so I've been able to see them 3 or 4 times in the last year. Awesome live band.

Nice. I'm all the way up in Newcastle so I've only seen them twice. Two of the best gigs I've been to.

It looks like Greg Ginn's lawsuit against Henry Rollins and Keith Morris has hit a snag http://exclaim.ca/News/black_flags_greg_ginn_loses_lawsuit_against_flag

The biggest story out the developments so far is that, because Henry never quit the band, he may have more of a right to the copyright than Greg.

Well, he announced it himself, so yeah. Luckily, caught it early due to screening and INFEST has upcoming shows he's still planning to play. Chris is such a good dude, I'm glad he's gonna be okay. Also has a new band, the name is escaping me at the moment.

Anyone here going to the A389 Anniversary in Baltimore or the Infest/Gehenna/Gag Seattle show in March? I'll be working both. Holler.

E: New Model Army, Chumbawamba & Godflesh are the few bands I feel like I'm never going to get to see live due to visa issues... I've been listening to my Streetcleaner tape in my car for weeks in preparation. Maybe I can just get a tour gig in Europe that matches up with them. *sigh*

Man, this article has a video linked at the bottom of FLAG playing "My War," which is weird because none of the members of FLAG were in Black Flag when that song was recorded.

No one has mentioned it, probably due to complete lack of surprise, but the new AFI album is the same tired poo poo they've been making since Decemberunderground. The first couple tracks gave me just the tiniest glimmer of hope before it was slashed away in to manic fits of laughter.

I used to use absolutepunk.net and I've checked recently and it still seems they have they same format. They cover a pretty wide spread of the genre too (pop punk, emo, screamo, hardcore, etc.) Their review writers are pretty solid too, and they've got pretty cool weekly features.

Wow, haven't seen you around in a while. Also I think I say that every time you post.

I don't listen to anything newer than like 09 anymore and it's a bad habit and I need to stop. None of the current / new stuff interests me though. Now that Comadre is R I P only bands I'll bother to go see are Loma and Punch, I guess.

That is offensively lovely. It's not often my initial though when I see record covers is "I could do better than that", but I earnestly believe I could.

The name's kinda dumb too. Really, everything about this if you'd never heard of Black Flag screams "Pop punk about partying and how hard it is to grow up".

I honestly think Greg Ginn did the cover art himself. He hosed over so many people, including Raymond Pettibon, that no one would do the cover art for him.

I refuse to believe someone got paid to draw this, though knowing Ginn...
