Okay, I've got a draft with everyone on the list who said they'd pay $10 for banner ads and stickying the thread and stuff like that. 21 people! So we need a banner ad or two and a thread title (current thought: Holy poo poo Christmas is coming, Etsy goons to the rescue!). If someone can whip up a banner ad for tomorrow that would be super. What I'll do is post the SA-Mart thread tomorrow around this time, and post the shops of the people who've sent me $10 by then, and then PM the people who said they would and haven't yet. As people pay ( alanna@clrmedia.com ), I'll add them to the OP. If you didn't say you would contribute but want to, just PM me your shop name.

Dear goons please help me with an etsy customer service issue. I had a customer place an order this morning and she left a comment that she wanted the clothes by Saturday. I checked the USPS delivery time and there is absolutely no shipping method that would get them off base and across the country to her by Saturday. I went to the post office in person later in the day to verify there wasn't a method I was missing. Never mind that they are made to order so I would have to sew them first. I sent her a message within three minutes of her placing the order telling her it wouldn't be possible did she still want the leggings or did she want to cancel the order. She hasn't written back. Normally I would cancel the order but the issue is she bought a limited edition fabric and once it's gone I won't be getting it back and the company isn't making it anymore. I think my store was listed on some blog somewhere because all of the fabric I had sold out within a day. She bought the last pair I had. I would feel bad if she still wanted them and I cancelled the order. On the other hand if I sew them tonight and get my butt to the post office very first thing in the morning they said they will send them off base for me so that she will get them Monday. CS is hard

Since you can't get them there by Saturday I would suggest waiting until you hear from her. Maybe give her three days or so to get back to you. Ask a second time and if she still doesn't respond just cancel and refund. I hate cancelling orders too, but I get a little suspicious when someone is like "ship this super fast to me via a really expensive post method" but aren't around to answer questions or pay for the extra postage.

Yeah, totally agreed. Wait until you hear from her, especially considering the nature of the item, the work that goes into it, and the limited edition fabric. Some customers are hard (impossible) to please and you have your limits too (such as not rushing around on Thanksgiving) edit: Oh!
